I am a new cat owner. Look at my pretty kitty!

My fiance has always been a cat person. Earlier this year, her queen KitTen (so named for her polydactyl paws) had a litter. We got her fixed afterwards, and gave away two of them to good homes, but we kept three of the kittens--one of which I claimed as my very first cat. He's so pretty! And super affectionate. At 7 months old, he is 12 inches long from the shoulders to the base of his tail, and stands 10 inches high at the shoulder. His tail is 10 inches long and he weighs 9 lbs. He's a big kitty, and he is not even close to done growing yet!

welcome and congratz on your first cat. This site is great, i have been a cat owner for a long time and when i found this site i learned many things about cats that i did not know. Your kitty is adorable! I have 3 cats and one of them is also a "mittie" cat!

KitTen and all of her kittens have the mitten paws. I love it, I think it's adorable! It does require that I keep an extra close eye on keeping their claws clipped, however.

I've seen Viseryn climbing, though, and he seems to stretch his paw's out wide to get a more solid grip with the extra claws when he feels he needs it, so at least it's useful. :-D
