Good morning.

Well, now that another Christmas is over it's time to start thinking about the year ahead.

What's your New Year's Resolution for 2015?

I'm going to learn how to hula hoop!

Someone gave me a couple of brightly coloured hoops and I think it's time I put them to good use. I hear hula hoop is great exercise. Just what I need right now.

Good luck!  I tried to teach my DD to use a hula hoop last summer.  Let's just say my waist line isn't what it used to be.  I hula drooped more than anything.
It didn't help it was a little kid size!

I'm not really planning to make any official resolutions.  I definitely NEED to exercise more; but if I approach it the wrong way I know it won't be a permanent change.  I would like to include some fun changes too.  Things like regular date nights (monthly) with DH and taking the time out regularly to do things I enjoy like reading and painting/crafting.

Two of my nieces are seriously into hula hooping for exercise and have even participated in competitions.

I usually don't make resolutions, but should make one this year to keep my clothes closet organized so I can find things.

That's a good one. My local gym is actually next door to a bar.

I very seriously told my New Year's Resolutions to a friend, and I can't for the life of me remember what they were!

I'll get back to you.

Haven't made any, and seldom do (because I seldom kept the ones I made). I generally resolve to draw more and get more practice.

Typically I do not make resolutions.  However, this year, both Tom and I were doing a great job at dieting for many months and the past couple of months since holiday season hit,  we've both slacked off a lot.  And, we're both not happy about it.  I told him yesterday to enjoy what he can now because once 2015 hits we're both back to a healthier way of eating.

I'm not often a fan of NY resolutions. However, due to the accumulation of some family drama in 2014, I am resolving to live my life absent exterior drama.

Please think about this a bit.  It is better if we want to lose weight so WE look good, so WE feel better.  Doing this 'for someone else' tends not to be effective, not permanent weight loss.

I want to lose weight. I weigh 11 pounds less than before I got pregnant in January but everything has changed shape and I actually wear a bigger size. I'm setting a small goal of 17 pounds at first and we will go from there.

You sound just like my mother and step-dad almost every year.  Last year they went so far as to empty their pantry of everything that didn't fit in the guidelines of this food plan they went on (eat certain things, not others) into my pantry.  I'm not sure how much it equated to money wise; but my pantry didn't complain.
This year Mom said she's not focusing on numbers; but being healthy.  So she will still walk and/or go to the gym (helps they can use one for free...) and eat sensibly; but not focus so hard on the numbers.  And also accept that she's closer to 60 than 50.  She's had improvement in blood pressure and cholesterol, etc.  I think those are better indicators of health.

Well the way to stick to one is what I am doing. I am in college and am taking 2 phys ed classes, I have to go 5 times a week or it brings down my GPA and  I gotta keep it up. Best way to lose weight is when you dont have a choice. lol

To get a job in college academia, hike Cactus to Clouds and Rim To Rim, Visit Havasupai and hit a foreign country-probably India, Vietnam or a few middle America ones.
