Hi all, I noticed yesterday that my cat Mima was sleeping more than usual and not meowing as much as usual. A lot les... she is usually very vocal. Her meow sounded muffled or silent. She is eating and drinking and doesn't exhibit any weird behavior other than the sleeping. I have just recently started taking her outside, but she never gets too far from me. I either walk her myself with a harness and leash ,which she hates or set her free inside of small fenced in area. The last time I took her out she ate less grass than usual but did puke quite a bit... that’s when the stretching her neck to swallow and gagging with nothing coming out started. Is this what it looks like when cats cough? The last 3 times I took Mima to the vet I was in total panic mode, paid a fortune and her ailments passed on their own in a few days so I am trying to remain calm. I too am looking for some things i can do at home. I watched a video on ehow that says you can try a humidifier incase she has a cold/sore throat. Will try tonight.
