So wellness wet cat food is apparently manufactured at two different sites, which result in two different consistencies. One results in a mushy/baby food like consistency, the other seems more chunky. I personally preferred the chunky one, but since you can't order from a particular manufacturing site to get the consistency you want, I have to settle with whatever comes in my order. (My cat is very sick and she's doing a lot better on Wellness, so I won't be switching foods). My only worry is that the consistency may indicate if the food is spoiled or not? Wellness doesn't ever indicate that their food consistency differs, and when consumers contact them they will always say that it's high quality food but I've never heard them request a can back in order to inspect the food so I don't trust their word when they say "it's okay even though we haven't seen it and obviously don't know for certain". Do you ever notice any difference between the two consistencies?

Yes I've noticed. I just got a batch was was mushy. The more recent batch was similar to the first batch. I think my kitty liked the mushy batch.
