I'm really worried. My cat has been missing since yesterday morning. She was missing months ago and it scared me but was only gone for a day. Lately she's been stressed because it seems her brother has started attacking her maybe because she may hang with feral cats sometimes or not sure why.

I have five cats and the two older ones reject the younger ones. One chases the younger ones scaring them most of the time. Now the brother and sister have both been attacking the calico who is now missing. It seems she's probably extra stressed and it's a sad situation but she normally wouldn't be gone this long. I'm worried she's stuck somewhere. There was a moving van a large one the day she went out but I wouldn't think she's so stupid she'd go in a place where people are transporting large items. Could it be that she's just really stressed? I have tried going around the neighborhood calling her name. I was depressed all day today but I get a feeling she's ok I just want her to return. Is there anything someone can do when a cat hasn't come back yet

I am sorry your cat is missing.  She does seem very stressed.  Is there a way that you can giver her a place of her own where she will feel safer?  Do you have perches or cat trees so some of the cats can move upwards to get away from the others?  How about a feliway diffuser or spray to help calm some of the cats.  I would also try Composure liquid or calming collars to help get the situation under control.

I hope your girl comes home soon.  I also hope that she is spayed??

Hi shadows. Thank you so much for the advice. I do have two cat trees for the cats and she definitely loved to go up on them. I also have Feliway as well. It just seemed the recent situation was worse than before because her and her brother always got along and suddenly they were fighting. It seems he has been attacking her a lot lately. She also fights with her sister and the older cat chases her. It's just a lot for them. I do now get the feeling she is stuck somewhere. Maybe a garage or under a house. She used to climb up on the rooftop or behind the stove and get stuck there or just go there for attention. Now I'm starting to get worried- just thinking she's stuck somewhere is bothering me a lot. I'm alone and can't deal with it on my own feel weak and sick. My mother is going to go around the neighborhood well come visit and help I think. I felt calm before because I thought maybe she was hiding but now I think she is stuck. Now I'm freaking out. Can't think straight. Thanks I hope she comes back too and isn't in any distress. This is hard and well hard for any cat mom or dad

Have you posted fliers?  Gone door to door to the neighbors?  That should be a first step.  I hope she is spayed or she may come back to you pregnant.  Your household seems very stressful.  Cats pick up on the stress of their owners as well.  Try to take a deep breath and regroup.  You are not doing her any good being stressed and sad.  Turn your worry and stress upside down and use the energy to find her.

I would really suggest getting some calming collars or Composure liquid or even Rescue Remedy.

Do you play with the cats?  I mean really play with them?  A laser pointer or da Bird toy or any wand toy are a great way to divert cats attention away from fighting with each other.

Are all of the cats spayed/neutered?  This can have a great affect on their behavior.

Oh yeah I do. It's just that I live alone and I feel the cats get lonely they want company and I try to have people over as much as possible but it's not that easy to do that. I'm not stressed it's that the older cats r angry and reject them and it causes problems. And yes they def know when ur upset or something is going on. Sometimes I get dates over just to have someone at the house the cats pick up on that fast maybe the date doesn't like cats or is weird so that upsets them they think oh gosh not again. My place is pretty calm I am except for all th crazy people out there and the older cats
