Only 3 more sleeps till Christmas!  But I'm going to NOT ask a Christmas question today.

Do you sleepwalk or talk in your sleep?  Anything interesting or funny?

About a week ago I was in my bedroom looking in my craft cabinet for something.  It's right behind the door so it gets ignored a lot.  There are some boxes of craft things (because one cabinet is NOT enough for my craft stuff) on the floor in front of it.  An extra blanket had been put on top of those too.  But I also found my black dress pants.  That seemed weird because I knew I'd had them hung up on our closet door (which is only a few feet away) and I haven't worn them in months.  I just hung them back up and went about my business.

Later on that night DH was getting ready for bed and he told me sometime in the night I woke him up because I was messing with those pants like i was trying to get them on or get dressed to go somewhere.  I have NO recollection of this!
He said I eventually just got back in bed.

I know I would sleep walk every now and then as a child.  The worst was when I went down some steep stairs and my mom found me on the couch.  As an adult I have woken DH up multiple times; but it's been a while!  Usually it's just sitting up and mumbling something in my sleep.  He can tell me to lay down and I will and be quiet.  Other times I get out of bed and start doing things.  One time I actually remember pretty well.  I was dreaming I was on an old submarine or some place where there was a green panel with lots of knobs and buttons you had to push.  So I was pushing the buttons and turning knobs and suddenly my husband said 'What are you doing?"  I was standing at a small; maybe 18" wide, blank space of wall in our bedroom between DH's dresser and a small cabinet.  I remember telling him "nothing" and getting back into bed.

I was spending the night with a GF as I had been babysitting her kids. She got home around 1:00, so she told me to just crash on her sofa. I called Rick and told him that I was spending the night with her and then I went to sleep.

My GF awakened me around 4:00 or so. Evidently, I had unlocked the front door and was on my way outside when the noise awakened her. She said I kept telling her I needed to go home. She got me back on the couch and I guess I went back to sleep. I don't remember a thing about it. To my knowledge, that was the only time that I've done anything like that.

I've had some pretty horrible nightmares, but that's another story.

Not as far as I know, but Mr Husband talks in his sleep a lot. It's a funny mix of the really polite Japanese he has to use at work and some very casual English he's picked up from me. Nothing I can repeat here, but it makes me laugh.

I Have woken myself up getting out of bed during a dream of me getting out of bed but that's it.
The ex has told me I talk in my sleep. He's heard me when passing my bedroom and tried to hear what i was saying.
Oh i woke myself up once laughing.

My step-brother used to talk so loud in his sleep I could hear him across the hall with my bedroom door shut.  As far as I know; I was the only sleep walker in my house.

I had a friend when I was a teenager who kicked right through his bedroom wall through to the bathroom during an intense dream.  His foot came through right next to the commode too.  He had to leave his room any time someone needed to use the restroom until the wall could be patched!

I have night terrors sometimes.  Not fun.  I wake up screaming bloody murder and scare the life out of Tom!  I know I say things also but most of the time he can't make it out.  He said it sounds like I'm making ghost noises lol.

People tell me I make funny noises when I sleep. The kind that makes them laugh hard enough that I wake up. I've woken myself up a few times from my squeaks.

DH talks in his sleep all the time and says I do occasionally, sometimes in English and sometimes in German. I don't think I've sleepwalked since I was a kid.

DH talks in his sleep and sometimes I can actually have a conversation with him - although it's all just nonsense.  It's pretty funny.  I used to have some intense nightmares about fire and I would scare the heck out of him trying to yell "FIRE!"  He woke me up more than once doing that - until he bought the fire extinguisher and fire ladder. Then they pretty much went away.  I guess he did walk in his sleep once too when he was a kid.

On our honeymoon (many years ago) Paul yelled out "Maxine". (not my name) Good thing it was his sisters name.

Do you dream in both languages too?

I have English dreams and Japanese dreams, strangely enough they're always exclusively in one language. I don't thing I've ever had a dream where I used both.

Norachan Norachan I dream in both languages, and some dreams are "bilingual", meaning people speak the same language with me in the dream as they do in real life.
