Yeah we debated Fred and William but neither suited him. So we settled on Oscar.

How may dogs/cats do you have?

Your dogs are beautiful too. XD I would love a sausage dog, but neither me not my boyfriend have the time for a dog. Do your cats and dogs mix with each other, or do they keep to themsevles?

Also, I have no idea about cat breeds, I am a complete newbie, do you know what breed my cat is? They didn't give me much information at the shelter...

Oscar is adorable and looks thrilled to be out of the shelter and to have a human family of his very own. Bless you for choosing a black cat, as they're often among the last to be adopted due to silly superstitions and because they're hard to photograph, believe it or not. Oscar is a domestic shorthair, or DSH. The vast majority of cats aren't any breed or mix of breeds, but domestic short, medium or long hairs. In fact, most "breeds" were developed using selected domestics, so the latter are the "originals".

@OscettaDoris... Thank you so much . Yes the blue eyed kitty is the Calico colored one .  Yes , that cats and dogs all mix with each other . They get along great.. 

I think your sweet kitty is a Domestic Shorthair , Tuxedo color ..

Really? What stupid reasons, superstitions and because they don't photograph well, how stupid is that? Grrr!

At the shelter there were actually quite a few yonger cats, and when I called they said I might want to get there fast because everyone wants a cat before Christmas. While the younger cats, and some cats that looked like this one

but Oscar just stole my heart, I looked at other all the other cats but I kept going back to him, he kept hiding away and didn't look at all like he wanted to be there. I really wanted to take them all, though! XD

Is the cat above also a British Short Hair? His face looks different to Oscar's? Also I apologise if my questions should be in a different forum, pretty new to this.

I have to stay away from the shelters and adoption centers because I feel so bad for all the animals. 

Oscar has wasted no time showing his appreciation.  Enjoy it. 

I used to take care of a tuxedo stray named Oscar, when I was a child.  Funny that years later, two tuxedos have reappeared in my life.
