Hello everyone,

I rescued this little angel from the axel of a truck parked in a casino parking lot in Reno, Nv. My mother and I were walking out to our car when I heard a small meow cry. When I found her, I wasn't going to leave until I caught her and knew she was safe. Why she was there in the middle of a huge parking lot with no residential area for blocks, I will never know. But she is safe now and has a forever home with me and my husband, two other cats and a dog.

She appeared to be approx. 8-10 weeks old when we rescued her. She was very small and still had the fuzzies. We knew she was a Seal Lynx Point but something about her markings is throwing us off a bit. She has slightly undefined spots on her body that in certain lighting almost look like incomplete rosettes, the eye liner, the broken M at the forehead, ringed tail with the black tip and black paw pads. Her fur is very dense and silky soft. In the light, I almost see glitter but it is a bit hard to tell for sure with her very light coloring. And her hind legs are taller than her front and have the very distinctive thigh shape that I've seen on other bengals. I have to say though... that her markings have really changed. She grew out of the markings at the top of her head, and the spots have not gotten any darker. It almost seems that they've gotten a bit lighter.

Her personal fits to a T with what I've read on Seal Lynx Point Siamese (which seem different than original siamese). She is very outgoing, energetic, athletic, acrobatic, curious, and everything is a toy to her. She loves to climb, loves the water, and wants to go outside. We take her out occasionally on a harness and leash. She is also an aggressive little kitty for after a few days of being with us, she was comfortable enough to pounce on our nearly 20lb Siberian/Ragdoll boy. She truly stalks him (all the time), with her ears back and has the look of attack in her eyes. He is a good boy though and is gentle with her.

Anyhow, I am hoping that someone here who is familiar with "Seal Lynx Point Siamese" & "Seal Lynx Point Bengals" who can help me identify if she might have bengal markings. I am not expecting her to be purebred, but it would be interesting to she what the experts might say. I've attached some photos of her below, sorry about them being so many.

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Miche

Wow , she is amazing . I am so glad you  rescued her and gave her a home ..  She is a beautiful girl .

I am not that good at guessing breeds but she does sort of have that look of Siamese & Bengal  ..

MicheRicke, your cat is beautiful! She looks a lot like our lynx mix -- particularly the patterns on her body -- but the markings on her face are more vivid than our cat's or what I usually see in lynx mix cats' photos.

Hello and thank you for the compliments. She has become a very special part of our family and we love her to pieces. @LisaHE, she does look a lot like your kitty! Does your kitty have black paw pads and black fur around the pads? I'm really trying to figure out if some of her traits are common among SLP or not. The markings around the face are interesting too as I cannot tell if her markings are slightly different than other SLP or not as well. Your kitty does seem to more markings than mine but I'm sure that the amount can vary from cat to cat. I would love to see more pics of your kitty.

@ LisaHe, Thank you so much for posting more pictures of your kitty. My kitty does look so much like your kitty. It is interesting how different some SLP mixes have spots and some don't. It's nice to see mixes that look like my kitty and helps to know that it isn't unusual. Thanks so much for sharing!

@ Kalimur, it really is amazing how I found her. I did search the papers, craigslist, and breeders forums looking for anyone who might had lost their kitty in my area for 2 months and didn't find anything. So I am glad that I found her and gave her a safe home to live. She could have been chewed up by the engine starting.

Happy Holidays everyone!

You are so welcome, MicheRicke! I'd love to see more pictures of your kitty as she grows... their markings can really change! It's always fun for me to learn more about Siamese mixes, too, particularly since I knew absolutely nothing about them until we adopted these two last year. I've learned a lot about their quirks: health-wise, they can be a bit high-maintenance, as our vet says, but they are just wonderful cats.

Happy holidays to you and everyone else!
