Two tuxedo rescues

Introducing my two tuxedo cats.  Mr. Cookies (seen in the red tent below) came to our door three years ago.  He had been stray, but fed outside by a family down the road.  After six years of life outside, he was asking desperately for us to bring him inside.  After checking with his previous caretakers, we brought him into our home.

For the past year, Linus has been living under our porch.  He is feral and was part of a colony that was abandoned when the homeowners defaulted on their mortgage.  With the cold New York winter approaching, he started to take a few meals inside.  After a few nights in the garage and a trip to the vet, he is now inside with us.  After two weeks in the house, he's getting along wonderfully with Mr. Cookies.  He even has let my wife pet him.

We have been so lucky to have these two wonderful cats make their way into our lives.

They're beautiful - I have a soft spot for tuxies, which our last cat was. It's so good of your wife and you to give these two needy cats a home. They'll give you a lot of love in return.

We estimate that Mr. Cookies is approximately 8 years old and Linus is about 2.

Excellent! God bless ppl like you who love animals and are willing to give some poor little cat shelter and love, Cats are so lovely it is a real shame people abandon them and behave with cruelty towards them.

 

Two days ago I went to this petco store near by my home to buy some food for Horatio and they had these beautiful adult cats for adoption, among them this beautiful Tuxedo, I felt so bad they were there lonely but I cannot take them with me I cannot shelter more cats, you start doing it and could end up with cats up to your neck.
