I've got to work too, from mid afternoon until around 11 pm.

But at least I've got some presents to open this year.

I think Rick and I are going to be alone on Christmas!
His mom called me the other morning and said that they're probably not coming now on Christmas, but will be here on Sunday when the children come. I'm not sure about my brother and SIL yet. But it's very possible that we will have an alone Christmas. And you know what? I'm rather thinking that would be fine!

We may go over to my sister's later on in the day to help them eat dessert.
We've been invited there for dinner, but Rick is looking forward to his lasagna now that I mentioned making it. And it will be nice to spend some time, just the two of us.

My happy place.
We have our two daughters and their boyfriends on Christmas day this year. Should be good fun.
More people to share the 'entertaining the cats' duty. :lol3:

I have a double shift at the animal shelter Christmas Day, so I'll be celebrating with one other volunteer, 70+ kitties and one dog. DH and Mogli will have to mark the holiday without me.

Going to Russ' sister's house this year for dinner.  Later to my sister for snacks, coffee and dessert.  I'm looking forward to it.  I did hear that it's going to be a wet Christmas Eve and possibly into Christmas day but it's only supposed to be rain, thank goodness.

We're heading down to my paternal aunt's house for Christmas lunch with my dad's side of the family (it's been requested I deliver homemade coconut ice cream to them), gifts and such with them. Then right after that, we're driving north to my maternal aunt's house for Christmas dinner with my mom's side of the family (it's been requested I deliver homemade mango ice cream to them), gifts and such with them. This is our first time doing the latter - we haven't seen my mom's side of the family for Christmas in almost a decade, and back then, we would celebrate at my house/parents' house, but my aunt wants to show the family her big new house - which I am trying to convince my uncle to convince my aunt is super cat friendly since he desperately loves and wants cats.

It'll be a long and probably exhausting day of feasting.

Homemade coconut ice cream!  YUM!   Can you deliver some here, too?!

Presents first thing with the kids (honestly this makes Christmas super exciting again.
), cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then a family dinner and more present swapping with my mom and step-dad.  I don't think we have any others coming for Christmas.

In the morning, I will help Angel open his gift.
Then, I will be going over to my parents for dinner in the afternoon. It will be my parents, my sister, my Brother-in-law, niece, & nephew,

(& usually my nephew's girlfriend).  We usually exchange gifts, then eat dinner.  We started doing lasagna for Christmas dinner a few years ago too!

After just doing the whole Thanksgiving spread, my mom said, "I'm not doing ALL of that again!"

My dad is Italian, So, my sister & I get to celebrate our Italian half too!
I love it & look forward to it!

I think my sister is making the salad, & I am going to make a cake.
