Hi all,

Can you help identify what breed one of my cats is? I'd like to know just for the fun of it. He is a funny-looking fella whom I adopted about a year ago off the street. He really looks like a Dr. Seuss character; as you see, he has a squashed sort of face with human-like eyes. His ears have serrated edges. His fur is mostly wooly in texture, though his chest, the insides of his arms, and the area behind his ears have a silkier feeling. He is very stout in stature with big paws. He holds his weight in a manner that creates a cute pear-shaped/inflated balloon/pineapple look from above. I've tried looking around on the internet but can't find photos of a cat that look anything like him. Any input would be greatly appreciated! All I know is that he strongly resembles Teddy Ruxpin (and a teddy bear in general!), Teddy Roosevelt, a harbor seal, and a plump gopher all in one.

Thanks!

E

Wow - cute! Would he be considered a tabby point?
Yes, sure.  Or Lynx point in some associations.

"Teddy" is probably a mix, that is why he has his mixed looks.  His parents wasnt necessary points themselves.  It was enough they were carriers of the point gene.

His  Teddy looks are probably in part because "he has an excellent appetite",   as one renown judge wrote about a somewhat fatty  russian blue female on a Show...  He was very kind, because  RB are supposed to be elegant and sleek...

Pretty boy!

Good luck!   @Elise84

Yes, he looks like a lynx mix to me, too. We have one, too, and she's a great cat!
