Wow , I was reading through all my old threads about finding a can diet for my cats and it is crazy how many different brand I have tried . What a headache ..

No matter what I gave them they always refused it after a time and we always went back to Fancy Feast .

That is what they are eating currently  but at least they will eat the Classic variety now , any flavor ..

My  cats are crazy .....

I won't be much help, but it's weird because today Cleopatra finally ate wet at food today. And it was Fancy Feast. I, as well, have tried almost every brand out there.

I  know  , it is weird . For some reason my cats just have a preference for FF.. At least it is wet ..

I am glad you found a wet food your kitty likes ..

So I am also having difficulty transitioning our cat back to wet food after she was put on dry medicated food for an inflammation. She is like a drug addict for it.

is it better to feed her lower quality wet food and see if she will eat that, than the grain free dry food she is on right now?

What brands of wet foods have you tried ?

My cats are eating Fancy Feast Classics right now but their most favorite is the Fancy Feast Chicken Primavera . They never refused it .. Maybe you could try  something like that and see if you can get her started on wet food and then mix in some higher quality wet brands ..

Before she was on WIld Calling canned, but she never really liked it that much anyway.

Since the dry food we have tried:

- Weruva's pouches (the fish flavors since it's her favorite)

- Nature's Variety PRIDE - Salmon and Tuna Flavors

- Nature's Variety Instinct - Salmon

She'll eat FF fish varieties (I think it was the ocean whitefish?) but it gave her bad diarrhea.  But at that point I think we transitioned her straight from dry, so maybe it was just that? idk. I also think she may have some kind of egg allergy.

Going to go to the store this weekend and just buy a whole bunch of brands and see what sticks. Part of it has also been convincing my husband that even crappy wet food is better than grain-free dry food (especially for persians)

It's just a struggle because sometimes she is off her food because she has an inflammation (in which case the purina dry food seems to help a lot), and other times she is just being picky. It's difficult to tell which is which, and if we went to the vet's every time she didn't eat her food we would be there every week lol.

I understand completely .  My cats are very finicky .. Right now they are doing well though . They eat  a 50/50 diet ..  In the  morning they eat  Young Again Zero Carb kibble , at night is  Fancy Feast Classics .

Another you could try is  sprinkle  a 1/2 packet of Feline Fortiflora on the wet food you want her to try . I guess it works for a lot of cats .  My cats of course do not like it  ...

I have had the same trouble!  Tiger, my 3 yr old cat, has severe food allergies!  I must limit the ingredients and stick to one flavor...chicken is the only one he will eat, and it must be the Fancy Feast "gravy lovers."  I have tried the regular chicken and he turns his nose up, refusing to eat :(  The good news is that I have finally gotten his food allergies under control :)
