I am so frustrated.  I brought my cat in on Friday because he couldn't sit on his behind.  Anal Expression, gave him an exam and a vaccine.

Saturday barely ate, Sunday ate some chicken.  Drinking water...no poop but peeing.  Monday-I call the vet, told to wait it out.  Today I call and speak with the vet who actually saw him, I ended up bringing him in this morning.  Suddenly I'm talking about his pancreas and he is hooked up to an iv getting fluid and steroids.  I feel like I am in a crazy nightmare.  He was fine Thursday.  Waiting for lab results tomorrow and had another blood draw today to check his b12 levels.  The weird thing is he is trying to eat but it seems like he can't keep the food in his mouth.  I am sick to my stomach over this.  So much information is out there about pancreas in cats, none of it good.

I'm so sorry.  I've never heard of a vaccine induced pancreatitis attack.  What kind of vaccine was it?

Intranasal upper respiratory vaccine.  They are saying his not eating was underlying before I brought him in.  I just don't understand.  He was ate on Friday before I brought him to the vet.  When we got home is when he started to not eat.  I am waiting for more blood work today.  They gave him a drip and appitite stimulant yesterday.  He ate a little chicken and only licks his cat food, ate a few treats.  Upside is he is alert and ran around a little last night.  I tried every kind of cat food last night to get him to eat, even tried baby food.  It is just so hard not knowing what is going on or what course of treatment if any I am looking at.

The intranasal vaccine for FVRCP (upper respiratory, etc) can induce symptoms as its a live vaccine, but they usually resolve on their own in a  few days +
