...OLD!
And here's proof.

Every year Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin publishes what it calls "The Mindset List"--fun facts and figures about the incoming crop of freshmen so professors will be able to relate to their new students.

Beloit says the list is a reminder that the world view of
today's new college students is significantly different from the intellectual framework of those students who entered only a few years earlier. Put another way, it's a reminder that you are getting on in years. One of the list's creators is Beloit professor Tom McBride, who
quips, "It is an alert for those of us who may be suffering from hardening of the references." And there's no medicine for this!

1.Ricky Nelson, Richard Burton, Samantha Smith, Laura Ashley, Orson

brain.
18.They would never leave their calling card on someone's desk.
19.They have never been able to find the "return" key.
20.Computers have always fit in their backpacks.

I'm definitely old and ancient too! They could add some more!

Microwaves and VCR's have always been around and are in every home.

TV's have always been in color.

Penny candy has always been .50c or more.

Coke & Pepsi are a staple in the diet.

I'm sure I could think of many more! Just don't feel like it right now.

So far out in left field I got lost
Didn't you know that when you are born before 1985, you either came over on the Mayflower or walked the earth with Dinosaurs?

That would be me, I think I was around when the dinosaurs were

Well, I didn't know half the stuff on the list!

These are the ones I knew lol

3.Iraq has always been a problem.
7.Bert and Ernie are old enough to be their parents.
8.An automatic is a weapon, not a transmission--In my world an automatic is still a transmission! lol

10.The snail darter has never been endangered. What is a snail darter?? (I didn't know this one, but I'm curious).

14.The United States has always had a Poet Laureate.--What is a Poet Laureate??

18.They would never leave their calling card on someone's desk.
19.They have never been able to find the "return" key.--Return key for what?

21.Datsuns have never been made.---I had a Nissan, which is pretty much the same thing....it was an 83....If that counts! On the insurance it went under Datsun....
22.They have never gotten excited over a telegram, a long distance call, or a fax.

28.Stores have always had scanners at the checkout.--Our "old" local store didn't have scanners...they had price tags and the whole bit! Even the cash register was old! Like 1930s or 40s!
37.There has always been Lean Cuisine.

Microwaves and VCR's have always been around and are in every home.--We didn't have a microwave until I was about 10 or 12 I think, we had the VCR a bit earlier.

TV's have always been in color.--We had a black and white 13" tv that was in my parents room (why I don't know, cuz you only got 1 channel, and only sometimes!)

Penny candy has always been .50c or more. --We used to be able to buy a lot of penny candies for 0.50! I remember that...but then you had to add tax on to it (except at the rink!), so it wasn't quite 50 pieces that you got!

Coke & Pepsi are a staple in the diet. --Not here...well maybe my brother lol!
