Thoughts please

Hi I'm new to this site my beautiful girl is called Venus she is a grey tabby and 10-11 months old as far as I'm aware she hasn't had a heat yet (that ive noticed) she is mostly an indoor cat but will venture out now and again these past few weeks she's sleeping a lot more than usual and ive noticed her nipples are changing colour there not sticking out but we're white flesh coloured the other week now there pink she usually lets me touch her belly but the past few days she's been kicking my hands away and she also keeps trying to get in my wardrobe she dosnt look like she has gained any extra weight does it sound like she is pregnant and how far along roughly should I expect her belly to grow to the point its NOTICABLE thanks x

Yes, she seems to be preg, I would bet heavily on it.  She is about 4 weeks now (nipples change color typically about day 21).

If you arent  demanding to have a litter on her,  I would recommend a spaying asap, while its still an easy surgical operation.

Of course, if you WANT to have a litter after her, we will support you with advices and info...

It does sound like she is pregnant. My queen started to show when she was about five weeks along. She seems to be about 3 to 4 weeks now so I would guess that in another week or to you will be able to see it very clearly. My queen didn't want me to touch her stomach when she was pregnant either. My mom and I used to hold her down (not roughly or anything) to make sure that we could feel the babies moving since we couldn't see them. At night my queen would let me feel her belly if I was petting her neck. You could try that and if she does, see if you can feel the babies kicking. If they are then she is about six weeks along. I'd say she's pregnant. You might not have noticed her heat, but if she had her first one when outside, and a male unhelped cat noticed it (They notice it earlier than we do) she can already be pregnant.  Nipples usually change color around 3 weeks, so from when you noticed her nipples changing you can count. Around 5 weeks her belly will slowly start growing. Though, if she only has a litter of 1 or 2, you might not see much of a difference. Around the final week, you should even be able to feel and see the kittens move inside of her. Again, if she has a smaller litter, this might not happen.

Thanks for the replies I'm just doing my own head in one day I'm convinced she is and then I think oh no she must not be im happy to carry on with the pregnancy and she will be spayed as soon as she is allowed to be I have secured homes for kittens within my family and I will be keeping one or possibly 2 depending on litter size if she is so I know how they all are and that there in good homes I don't know whether her mums litter size will determine hers but I know her mum had 2 litters one was 1 kitten and the 2nd litter she came from was 3 kittens would a cats stomach be big with 3 kittens? I just don't get why she would be trying to hide already if she's only 4 wks

@loulou85  It is really hard to tell how many kittens she has with just her stomach size. My queen had a really big stomach at around 5 weeks, and I though that she had gotten pregnant way before.

Just an update my cat is definetly pregnant her top nipples are really pink and have protruded a fair bit the lower nipples havnt yet tho also u can tell just by touching her stomach it's very firm and notably pregnant but she's not massive any idea how far she could be ?

Can you feel the babies kicking? That will give you an idea of how far along she might be.

Have you tried feeling for kicking multiple different times for long periods? There were times when I had to hold my hand on her stomach for ten minuets before I felt any kicking. If you have then I would say she is either about six weeks (or under)  or she has a very big litter or a very small litter. Though I could be wrong. That is just my guess. 

She dosnt like me having my hand there too long before she starts kicking it away it depends what mood she is in I have a feeling she is 5-6 wks going off everything I've read but I will keep checking for some movement

My queen didn't like me to have my hand on her stomach either. The only time that I could feel her stomach was at night when she was in my room before bed. I had to pet her neck as a piece offering before she would let me feel her stomach.   It took me days before I found out that I didn't need my mom to hold her down for me. But yeah it seems like she is around there. Can you see them moving? I used to sit there and just stare at Morticias belly to see if I could see anything moving out of the ordinary.   Anyways best wishes 

There hasn't really been much more change her top two nipples are still pink and stick out a bit but the rest don't look the same there pink but not sticking out much her belly dosnt seem that big she's constantly sleeping when I try and open cupboards or drawers ect she's trying to get in them but it's all confusing the heck out of me cos her belly is still tiny it feels a bit bumpy when she's lying on her back but not anything definate [emoji]128530[/emoji]

Well, it's not really a picture I kept on my phone You can post your cat's nipples if you can succeed making a picture though, so we can take a look for you and tell us our opinions?

I could be wrong of course, but she should be around 6 weeks now? From what I know, all nipples should have had some change already. The top one does seem larger, but not pink-ish as I would guess it should be. The other picture is extremely small, and I would expected that one to be enlarged already too.

Have you noticed any other changes the past few weeks? She should start showing something around now too. You might even be able to feel something if you lay your hand on her belly and keep it there for a while. However, you don't have this always, so she can still surprise us of course
