Kitten tossed from speeding car on 401

Never amazes me how cruel people can be to animals, this is from the Toronto Sun today!

Police are hopeful someone who saw a kitten tossed to its death yesterday afternoon from a speeding car on Hwy. 401 will come forward with information. The helpless feline was thrown into oncoming traffic from a car travelling at about 110 km/h on the eastbound express lanes of the highway at Dixie Rd., according to one witness who called police.

The kitten even survived its crash landing onto the highway -- but just long enough to look around before a car hit it, police said.

A driver stopped to pull the kitten's body to the shoulder.

The cops said yesterday they have little to go on and don't even have a good description of the vehicle.

Anyone with info is asked to call the OPP Port Credit detachment.

That hurts just to read it. It reminds of an experience I had as a child that still haunts me which I will not describe because it would hurt too many people here.

This makes me quite literally sick to my stomach. I can't even see the thread title without getting tears.

That is how I got Georgia. When she was thrown, fortunately it was into soft, muddy grass, so she was not injured. It was a choice between saving her, and chasing this %#%&*# down, so I stopped for the baby. She had huddled down in the gutter, and came right to me when I called.

Someone should toss that person(s) out onto Highway 401 from a speeding car!

And I hope they are thrown into oncoming traffic and immediately run over!!!!

Why on earth would someone do that??

I just don't get it.....
