I am feeding an outdoor cat that is very thin, her sides were caved in when i first saw her,  i have never seen such an unhealthy cat. After i started feeding her, another cat started coming by. So, i started feeding him too. But today i noticed that this new cat bullies the thinner cat. He is much bigger than her, and its obvious he is getting fed somewhere because he seems to be a healthy weight. When he is nearby she refuses to eat.

I am thinking they both used to eat in the same house, and he wouldnt allow her to eat.

Not sure what to do, my main concern is feeding the badly thin cat.

Is there a way you can allow the thin cat inside to eat (or possibly permanently?). On her own out there, especially with another cat bullying her, she might not last long.

This way, you can monitor her eating and possibly get her to the vet's to make sure she isn't sick. This is one reason cats bully - they are fearful of the sick ones and try to chase them off.

I took her to get spayed a couple of days ago, and they said she was fine, but underweight. I would love to adopt her, but the problem is that we have 3 dogs and a cat indoors. lol

I could bring in her to eat, and ill keep an eye on her. If her weight doesnt improve soon, i will think about bringing her in.

That may be why, then.  She may smell "foreign" and he's not happy about it.  Glad you got her spayed.  Fingers crossed you are able to deter the bully.  If you know the owners, might you talk to them and see if they can help - maybe keep him in when she's eating?

Shes a neighborhood cat, my neighbor has been feeding and letting the cats she feeds breed for years now. Shes been doing it since i was a child. The cats roam the neighborhood, but she feeds them.

oh, and, I let her in to eat in the bathroom, and she was able to eat. =)
