Hi there and welcome!

If you see tiny black dots where there is fur missing and scaly, dry patches of skin, maybe red, irritated looking it is ringworm.

It can be treated fairly easily but does take time, usually about 4-6 weeks.

But you also need to vacuum often, and use a water/bleach solution to clean, wash all bedding etc in hot water with bleach too.

Can you post pictures?

Oh Puffy is darling!! Aww!

The pic is dark and small, but from what I can see, it's not looking so much like ringworm actually, because in all cases I have ever seen, the fur is gone where the spot of ringworm is. The fungus does this on purpose, because it wants to survive so the spores attach themselves to the fur and the fur falls out, leaving a bald spot and free spores in the environment waiting for the next victim!

It may be some other type of dermatitis.   (?)

She could have a type of mite or something.... It doesn't look like RW to me either.

Try cleaning the area on her tail with white vinegar. It's a natural antiseptic and can kill lots of things safely and easily. Apply it on that spot for a week or so to see if it helps. It shouldn't hurt her all.
