I think the locking mechanism isn't working properly. I slammed the door twice; the second time, I really slammed it....cussing like a sailor didn't hurt either. The second slam was enough to trip the lock and it's working fine now. I did cookies on Sunday and again yesterday, using both ovens, and it works fine. Did a beef roast last night with popovers and it was fine. Thank goodness.@winchester.
What was wrong with the oven in the end?
I love your fridge. Is that a drawer between the two doors?
Absolutely no room for the TWT? :'(
That is so sad. Do you think you made enough cookies?
Here's mine. I wanted to get more done, but I just did not have time this year. I was planning on doing lighted wreaths outside on all the windows, and doing something pretty on the dining room table. But oh well, there's always next year!
Everything is champagne, gold, silver, and white... and sparkly. Don't mind the cat photobombing in the first photo. :lol3:

Not really. They're pretty much floor dwelling cats. The highest they really jump is the couch or the bed. I have pretty vases and other items on a low coffee table, and they've never touched them. It's all very pretty. Don't the cats destroy anything?
You certainly did. They're very well behaved. Not really. They're pretty much floor dwelling cats. The highest they really jump is the couch or the bed. I have pretty vases and other items on a low coffee table, and they've never touched them.
They have not tried to climb the tree either, though they did enjoy laying on the faux fur tree skirt underneath. To be on the safe side, I did get mostly shatterproof ornaments this year, as well as ribbon hangers instead of hooks. They haven't touched a single ornament though. I got lucky with these cats.
I tried decorating. Comet decided to de-dec while I was gone one day.
I can't stop looking at your fridge. It's glorious.I think the locking mechanism isn't working properly. We like the fridge, too. Yes, that is a drawer. We use it for bottles of wine or soda. I can put a big appetizer tray in there to keep it chilled. And it will fit a long bakery cake, too. It comes in very handy, especially during the holidays. The very bottom drawer is the freezer and it holds a ton of stuff. So, usually on Sundays I can go "shopping" in the freezers in the basement, bring it all upstairs and put it in the freezer for the week. Plus it holds a ton of containers of chopped/sliced peppers; I go through a lot of peppers and onions throughout the year.
Nope, no room for the TWT this year. Believe me, I really miss the thing. I thought about it yesterday when I was baking cookies. It just seems so wrong not to have the TWT in the kitchen. I know, I know, there are way more important things to worry about than an old Tacky White Tree. But I really do miss it. And I'm sure Tabby misses sleeping in the tree, too. We tried to figure out a way to put it up somewhere. There's just no room. And because the bedroom isn't finished yet, we didn't put the bedroom tree up this year either.
I made two batches of snickerdoodles (one for Rick and one for my niece), chocolate chip cookies, gingersnaps, vanilla spritz, drop sugar cookies, cut-out sugar cookies, cut-out maple cookies, chocolate crinkles, two batches of peanut butter sandwich cookies, peppermint icebox cookies, and chocolate meringues. If people can't find a cookie they like in that mess, that's their problem! I tried to pick out a good vanilla, a good chocolate, and a good peanut butter variety. I brought a huge plate of cookies into work this morning. There's already a serious dent in the cookies and my co-workers didn't come
in yet.
Paiger8: You're lucky having floor dwelling cats. Ruby thinks the Christmas tree is a cat toy hanging tree, so my tree is pretty oddly decorated with most ornaments on the top 2/3 of the tree. And no ornaments within paw reach on the side of the tree by her condo. I do put a couple unbreakables down low that she can swat at and bat across the floor once she knocks it off the tree. Not really. They're pretty much floor dwelling cats. Thanks, Judy! We really like our fridge. It holds everything I need it to hold and then some.I can't stop looking at your fridge. It's glorious.
If it ever disappears, God forbid, you know where to look for it.Thanks, Judy! We really like our fridge. It holds everything I need it to hold and then some.
I meant this:
I'm not putting any up. What doesn't go up doesn't have to come down and get put away.
I might beat you to it. That's a pretty awesome fridge. Mine is a side by side Maytag and I hate it. The freezer is small. If it ever disappears, God forbid, you know where to look for it.
What make is it?
Thank. I. She is a pretty little girl and sooooo spoilt by the whole family which includes all the children. I'm waiting for better pictures.I might beat you to it. That's a pretty awesome frid. . Mine is a side by side Maytag and I hate it. The freezer is small.
I love seeing the updated pics of your granddaughter that you use as your avatar. She's getting prettier every day.
