What an amazing night! That man is wonderful and that's not a powerful enough description. He brought down the house.

When he did "Piano Man" and everybody stood up and sang the song with him, it gave us chills. He came back for an encore and did seven more songs. You can see he was getting tired--the man is 65 years old, I think--but he kept going. It was simply unforgettable. I think he played for a good two hours. And he's really funny. He was talking throughout about different things and he had everybody laughing.

About halfway through, he stopped and they brought out a mic. He started talking about one of the roadhands, how he was such a good singer and how this would be his American Idol moment. He said the guy was going to sing a religious song and he wanted us to bear with him because he was so good. And out comes this guy. And he starts belting out Highway to Hell! From ACDC! Really! OMG, he brought everybody to their feet. He was so good! (And now, of course, Rick really really wants to see ACDC next time they tour, regardless of who's in the band and how much the tickets cost. We're going. Rick said that was just a teaser. Rick has been dying to see ACDC as it is.)

We had some trouble getting home, not really trouble, but it was a slow, steady drive. Despite what the weatherweenies were saying all day, it never did get very warm. We hung right around freezing all day long and when we started for home, the roads were a bit slippery. When we came back over the mountain (we have to go over the mountains to get to State College), it was on an icy road. Treated and cindered, but icy. And it was raining. We no sooner got off the mountain and back down when it changed over to sleet and we drove through sleet the rest of the way home. Rick drove out and back; no way was I going there. It's a 60-mile one-way trip and we were both glad to get home.

This was part of my Christmas present from Rick. He had gotten advance notice of the tickets and asked me if I wanted to go. Well......yeah!!!!! Just an incredible evening. I am so glad we were able to be there.

I'm glad you had a great time!:clap:

We saw him years and years ago in Boston and it was a great show. They were filming the concert for a documentary so he was really giving it his all. :)
