Hi, all!
I have a 1 year old male cat that I've hand raised since the day he was born.
I recently left for college, so he stayed back at home with my mom. I know it could have been stressful for him so I'm wondering if this could have been the issue.
Last month, my mom left for a week to visit some family and left my dog and the cat at home (with my brother), and when she came home, my cat stopped peeing in the litterbox.
He started peeing all over the carpet and she had to tear the rug up since the smell was so bad. He was also pooping behind the tv but stopped doing that once my mom came home, though he still pees at least once a day. It's starting to get out of control and I'm afraid we may have to rehome him.
We're going to get him fixed in about a month or so once some of the snow clears up to see if it helps. If it doesn't, we may have to say goodbye ):
What should I do?
