Well I promised him I'd take him. We didn't go sunday bc they close too early, but yesterday we finally got him there!

I strapped on his cute little blue harness (which matches his blue softpaws), hooked up his leash, popped him in the car (he likes to snuggle behind my seat) and we were off.

He's not too fond of the car, but luckily the Pet Supermarket is right around the corner. We went to look for a cat carrier and also just for him to play and be socialized. As always, he's a little cautious getting out. The place is in a shopping center on a busy corner, so he really doesn't like the sound of the cars. I had to carry him in.

I think he liked the pet store, but he wasn't very active at all, rather cautious. The stupid birds were chirping loudly and I could tell he didn't like that at all. He just wanted to curl up, wrap his tail around his side and watch everything from afar. A few people came up and told me how cute he was. They were amazed first off that he was on a leash. They said "you leash trained him?" I told them that he wears the harness, but he doesn't follow me, I follow him! Next they were amazed by his 'painted blue nails'. I had to explain to them about softpaws.

I thought I would liven him up by putting him by the hamsters. They have a huge 'pit' of them where the bottom is about his eye level if he were to put his front paws on it, and the top is quite high. I figured he would go up against the glass and maybe freak them out, but instead he curled up again, but he watched them pretty closely. This was closer to the stupid parakeets. I could tell even more he didn't like their annoying chirping. They're pretty, but I don't see the appeal of having them as a pet. Zero would rather only have it for dinner I'm sure!

Well since the carrier was a little more expensive than at the vet's, I was going to buy him some toys. But he wasn't crazy enough to decide what he really liked, so we walked out empty handed!

Oh, and you could definately tell he was nervous, because YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH hair he shedded all over my clothing! I swear he must have lost half of his body weight shedding, jk
.

He was happy to be home, but it took a minute for him to get out of the car (in the garage) again. But after I used the bathroom and came back for him, he was gone and back in his home. You could tell he was greatful to be back!!

I hope to have some of these excursions on more of a regular basis so eventually he can enjoy himself there... maybe we'll buy him a pet hamster or parakeet
... not really of course!

Sorry about the 'stupid birds' part. I actually dont mind birds for the most part, and actually like them ok... most of them.

The thing is I really hate cockatiels. They just chirp and chirp and chirp mindlessly for hours and hours on end. Budgies are at least cute, but they just chirp and chirp mindlessly. Other birds like parrots etc I think are nice. The mindless chirping is really what I don't like. Zero didn't like it either.

It's ok. I'm a big fan of birds with family breeding them and all

Zero looks very cute on his leash!

Zero just steals my heart. I love his little soft paws. I wanna take Em to Petsnart but its a 3.5 hour drive away. I just go myself and bring him back presents. I hope they open one here soon.

P.S. I don't like birds that much. Especially when they are chirping outside my window early in the morning.

LOL PetsNart! I just saw I typed that. HAHAHA. Ok it wasn't that funny. I'm sure you know I meant PetsMart.

P.S. I don't mind some birds. Just cheerful morning kinds.

Well sounds like an interesting experience, but personally I would never take my cats out "shopping" with me.
Its more trouble than its worth, and more traumatic for them than needed.

Toes LOVES shopping! I used to live in a neighborhood where I could take him in all the stores and he made friends with all the shopkeepers. LOL

Tailer, on the other hand, would have a heart attack.

Traumatic Schraumatic...
I tell Zero to be a big boy and suck it up!

Well I can tell he gets bored just being in the house. His world is so limited. I could tell that when he was finally in the store, he was interested, he sat back and tried to see everything that was going on all at once...

Oh well, there's always his forest (bird trail) excursions.

I take Curzon with me when I go to Petsmart. He does very well on a harness and leash. He get alone better with the dogs there than he does with another cat. We stop at the cat condos and he loves it. I need to build one for my cats. I just have to figure out a design and were to put it. Maybe then they will stop demolishing my grandfathers couch.
Curzon like to lay on my shoulders behind my neck. It is a good thing that he is a small bengal.
He is not interested in the mice, the fish scare him but he loves the birds, too much.
