Dark bump on gums

My 5.5 month old female kitten has a dark lump on her lower gums where her upper teeth hit. I've only ever seen them pink before? Any ideas before I can get her into the vet to ease my mind?

Looks like an infection or fungus. Be sure to take her in. 

My mother's dog had a black patch in his mouth and came to find out it was from a calcium deficiency.

Got her into the vet and its normal

I know this was years ago- but please please if you see this, what were the black lumps by the teeth?
