Good morning!
 And Happy Friday!

Rick is taking me to see Billy Joel this weekend; it's part of my Christmas present. I'm looking forward to the concert as I've heard that he does a great show. One of my GFs saw him in Connecticut a while ago and she said he was outstanding. We used to attend quite a few concerts, but haven't been to one in a while now. We missed out on the ACDC concert here a few years ago and I'm still frustrated over that one.

My question to you this morning: Who would you like to see perform in concert?

So exciting!

I think I would like to see Steve Perry or Bruce Springsteen. They both have such a huge stage presence and they look like they really enjoy performing even though they're both getting old, and I haven't seen much from Perry in a long while.

Metallica. I've been a fan for years, and now my husband is, too, but we've never seen them in concert.

Without a doubt - Joni Mitchell and Emmylou Harris. I've seen AC/DC. Don't know if I would see them again without Malcolm. And a big yes to Nick Cave. I've a cousin in the UK who has seen him countless times. Her fridge door is covered with ticket stubs and photos. So, so jealous. I'm giving tickets to ZZ Top to my kid for Christmas. He's not a huge fan, but he should experience "the move" just once as part of his musical education. Hoping he'll take me instead of his girlfriend. Oh, and Tom Waits. Only wish I lived closer to main concert venues. By the time you add gas, food, possibly hotel, time, it really adds up.

That's awesome! I saw Billy Joel twice in NY. He is amazing! Of course, I am from Long Island as he is too, so yea. lol

I've also seen Celine Dion, Beach Boys, Josh Groban (not my favorite, but my sister wanted to go) and a few others I can't remember who at the moment. I've also gone to see Transiberian Orcestra several times too

I saw Don McLean years and years and years ago but my tastes have changed. Now I'd like to see Zubin Mehta a conductor of classical music. He's Something To Watch And was a very sexy man a few years ago.

I've seen SO many people over the years.  From early punk/new wave bands before they became household names to the big concert sellouts.  In every type of venue imaginable.

However, there's one person I haven't been able to see yet.  Someone I turned down going to see in the early the very early 80's before she hit it big.  Madonna.  I'd probably hate seeing her now because I dislike big arenas, but still...

Have fun at your show!! I recently got to see my all time favorite band, Fleetwood Mac in concert, and in the front row no less for my anniversary! (I don't even want to think of how much my honey paid out for that!)
I'm a huge concert goer, and have seen countless amazing bands on stage, but nothing will EVER compare to seeing The Mac (complete with Christine back with the band)
Hope you have the time of your life!! Post some pics!

Nick Cave, I've only seen him once in Boston.
Yes, Nick Cave. I love Nick Cave, I think I've seen him about 4 times altogether. 3 times in London and once at Glastonbury Festival. And I once queued outside of Tower Records in London for hours to get his signature, I've still got the album with his signature on, he signed it Sir Nicolas Cave.

I think I've seen nearly all of my heros (At least the ones who are still living, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison died before I was born) play live except for Tom Waits. It would be great to see him play live, I love the drunk old hobo routine he does.

I have seen so many concerts. I remember seeing Fleetwood Mac with peter Frampton. his was at the time ' Comes Alive " was huge and "rumors" was being released. The one person I would love o see is Willie Nelson.

In 84 my mom gave me tickets to see him. I had started work that morning at 5am. Drove an hour to San Francisco ...Waylon Jennings played and then...I fell asleep. My friend let me sleep through the whole show and woke me at the end. The entire drive home I got to hear what a wonderful show I missed. Ugh!

I would like to see The Stones again and Cher would be fantastic.

I have only seen the Osmonds 2 times in my life. I would love to see Barry Gibb and Barry Manilow before I die.

TSO - They play my kind of music. A cross between Beethoven and Pink Floyd.
Terry, we saw TSO a couple years ago....their Christmas show. If you ever get the chance, you won't regret it. They were outstanding. One of my GFs goes to their concert every year she can. She is a big TSO fan.

Cocheezie, when our son graduated from HS, we asked him what he wanted. He wanted to see ZZ Top. We had seen them a couple times and we knew they did a great show. So we got the tickets and took him. It was his first concert. He loved it! He was a big ZZ Top fan.

Unfortunately, the closest place they play is 150 miles each way. And the ticket prices cause me to gasp. I watch them on PBS, and check out the Christmas lights synced to their music on YouTube, but that is the best I can do.

I love Bluegrass music. My dream is to see Doyle Lawson and his band Quicksilver.

Definitely Neil Diamond. I love Andrea Bocelli and would give anything to see him. Another all time favorite was Johnny Mathis. Oops - guess I'm showing my senior age here by my choices compared to some of the other posts!
