I want to feed my cat the best quality food I can, especially as he has been very poorly with a virus. He prefers dried food not wet food. I have tried giving him chicken and minced beef in the past but he isnt that interested. What do you consider is the best quality dried food? I am in the UK.

I've always liked Royal Canin. Since they're European, I would imagine you can find that in the UK. I've typically had good results with it. I can't feed it now because of my little special needs guy, and I miss it. Nutram is available in Europe, and also one called Pronature, but Nutram is much better than Pronature. Pronature seems too concerned with "reading well," I'd rather have a label that's easy to read!

I have seen Royal Canin in the shops. I currently feed him Purina Pro Plan as that is what he was fed before I got him, but im not convinced it is that good,

Maybe try to slowly transition him into wet food by adding little by little to his dry (could take months and lots of patience to find what flavors or brands he likes). I think okay to decent quality canned, like friskie pates and mixed grills, is better than any dry as of now. Since cans have much much more water.
