hello all I'm new here.

just wondering if any tips to help me out so I don't have to clean all the time.

As mentioned in my profile I look after some cats that I guess you could class as feral, well was now 2 of them are really affectionate one not so much.

anyway getting to the point before I started to look after them I saw one of them in the garden with no tail at all wand bleeding was ok the day before, I managed to catch him and get him to the vets was a problem at first as the wasn't enough skin left to cover the wound. Anyway he is back to full health except for the problem of nerve damage, he can't control his pooping and peeing so there is always a mess.

I just wondering what I can do to stop this? Any tips???

Welcome!

Aww poor thing :( Very tragic for this to have happened.

Even worse is the fact that most nerve damage can't be fixed, once it's healed occasionally a cat will regain it's control, but most never do.

Sorry for that news, I know it's a pain too. I helped one once who also had diarrhea, you can imagine how awful it was, always runny poop dropping out all over. It was tough.

The only thing I can offer you advise-wise is to find a vet who will teach you how to express his bladder and bowels. That way the random poop and pee won't be coming unexpectedly.

I wish you all the luck, and thank you for being such a caring person to go through all this for an innocent little kitty. You really are his/their angel.

I got lucky with the one I found all of the tail was still there but narled they had to remove it but the nerves are intact. Bless you for being there for this kitty. Your vet should be able to train you to deal with this issue. If your vet is no help there are plenty of members here that can point you in the right direction I am lost on this subject I am afraid. I just wanted to applaud you for being there for this cat.
