Tuesday Daily Thread

Today is the day! I get my car back!! AFter 4 loooooong months! I'm waiting anxiously for the courier to bring me the check and then I'm off to see a man about a car!

I'm wondering if I should start feeding Hallie more prescription food. Right now she eats half regular and half kd because she needs the calories and weight gain. But maybe her kidneys would stabalize a little more if I put her strictly on the kd. Of course then her weight gain would slow down. Anyway, my sweet little girl has been out and much more social since her last day at the vet. Maybe she knows I was upset and sad about the news we got. They always seem to take care of us!

Tammie - sorry to hear the news about Hallie. I guess you must have posted on another thread and I missed it. I hope she will be okay. By the way, I was just wondering if you got your car back. I'm so happy for you that that situation is taken care of.

Only today and tomorrow and then a four day weekend. I'm really looking forward to it. My best friend Paula and my Godchild Halley will be coming up for Thansgiving. We will get to spend Friday and Saturday shopping and having fun.

Ugh I am sooo sick. I woke up with a sore throat yesterday and it's went down hill from there. I should be out shopping today to try and avoid the closer to Christmas crowd but I feel too whiny to leave lol. Maybe I'll get some motivation in a bit.. Pfft, motivation to spend money I don't have lol.. What's up with people spending all this $$ on christmas presents, like my family has a $200 minimum or something, but they don't understand that being unemployed = can't spend like a madwoman. Plus I feel like crap when someone gets me something beautiful and expensive and I get them a dvd. But that's the spirit of Christmas lol!!

Just went to the gym today, worked out, talked to the personal trainer. I have an appointment in an hour.

I have been regularly going to this website www.fitday.com and you put in your weight, what you eat, your activities every day and its awesome, its really great for helping me control how much I eat in one day!

Anna - I hope you feel better!

Found out last night that a friend of ours is shipping out to Iraq within 2 weeks (just in time for Christmas). We're seriously bummed about this as there is always the real possibility that he won't make it back.

Don't get me Bush-bashing again!

Trying to get thru this week's work so I can leave for a 4 day weekend and actually enjoy myself!

Procrastinating on TCS because I don't want to go shopping and deal with crazy people. The only Thanksgiving item I don't have is corn. I also need to buy a wedding present, and pay the car registration. Then I need to finish gathering and listing all items for charity pickup tomorrow. The litterboxes must be washed today too.

Darned, it's looking like a long list, now that I've written it down I better get started.

First of all Congrats on getting your car back!

Now to Hallie, when our cats have been on precription diets we can NOT feed anything else but that?? Did your vet tell you that. Good luck with Hallie, it's going to be a long journey.

annabelle33-DVD's are my favorite kinds of gifts. I think that's a great gift, and in my opinion a lot more fun than jewelry or clothes. I'm still such a child at heart.

The vet told me to mix the two because she needs the calories. Just think about if you have a cat that is 2 years old and barely weighs just over 4 lbs (originally). Her brother is the same age and is 12 pounds. The vet feels that even though she has gained a pound that she is still in danger if she doesn't get some weight on quick. It's a bit of catch-22 if you know what I mean. So basically, she needs the fat and calories in regular food to gain. ONce she gets to a safe weight she will be on prescription diet only.

So don't worry.... I'm in constant contact with my vet. And she calls me about every 3 days.

Well it's 4:00 and I haven't received the settlement check yet so I'm not getting my car today. I'm so pissed I could just spit nails. I emailed the company representing Wal-Mart and she just sent me an email back saying she's so sorry for the inconvenience but it still takes 2-3 days to process and to let her know if I don't get it by FRIDAY. God I'm so sick of their deceit. I was just in tears. I'm so darn sick of being stuck here in this house and not being able to get around. I should have never given up the rental early just to save them a few more bucks. Oh and that's not it. I missed my interview because of this. I'm doing some serious complaints when I do get my car back. I'm going to let everyone I can in Wal-Mart's upper room, consumer agencies, I'll write editorials... what ever it takes to let people know how this sucks.

I spent today playing with Amber, doing dishes, made potato salad for supper....enough to feed an army, not sure what I was thinking there.

Called work today (err, the place I used to work up until a week and a half ago when I was laid off after 14 years due to the plant closing) and asked how much my final check would be...it was supposed to have two weeks paid vacation on it that I hadn't gotten to use yet, I get (got) 4 weeks paid every year and had only used 2. But the woman who does payroll...my sister-in-law, forgot to enter that I was laid off into the computer, so my vacation money won't come till next week which means this weeks check is only for one day and most of that was taken out for my last insurance payment, so I will have a grand total this week of $13.00! Hope I don't spend it all in one place!

Wonder how hubby would feel about potato salad for supper the rest of the week?
