Does anyone have any experience with Pentoxifylline combined with Prednisolone for a cat that has FIP?  Are there benefits? Risks?  What if it turns to not be FIP but something else?  Any advice / experience will be helpful in my decision on how to treat my kitten Darcy.  Thanks!

I've never heard of its use for FIP, this site makes it clear its intended for skin issues amongst other things. Has your cat been diagnosed with the dry or wet form of FIP?

She has wet.  Doing okay for right now.  Vet says she has never used this medication, but it's what comes up in the literature for wet. But no indication that it does any good.  We have elected to just keep her on pred and not add any more medicine.  Quality of life is more important than potentially adding a couple weeks, if any of those side effects get her.  Thanks for the link - it was helpful in making this decision.

My cat is on this now. He has the Dry form. My vet called it a little bit of voodoo, but it seems to be doing well.
