His dad is a purebred Turkish Van but I am trying to figure out what else he may have in him. He is solid grey with ghost tabby markings, light blue green eyes, pink paws and small ears. His coat is silky and seems long. He is very energetic and incredibly human orientated. Loves to explore EVERYTHING.

I have no idea what your kitty is. Just from your description, he's part Turkish van, and part long haired Tabby..but i am by no means an expert.

i will tell you though, he is BEAUTIFUL!! SOOO GORGEOUS!!!.

I think as he gets older, and his features are more pronounced, it may be easier to tell what breed or breeds your kitty is. His eyes are just so beautiful! From his eyes and grey coloring, he may even have some Russian Blue in him...I mean..Look at his eyes!!! Just so beautiful :)

You may want to look up physical and personality traits for:

Turkish Van

Russian Blue Hair

See if your kitties appearance and demeanor matches :)

Super cute!   How did I manage to miss this new fluffy blue baby until now?!   I am no expert on cat genetics to understand what colouring his mother would have had to come up with the natural all blue gray coat, but in the absence of any particular pedigree cat your gorgeous kitten can be known as Maltese as he is blue / gray in colour.   This is a recognised name for any cats of non-pedigree status who are all or mostly blue / gray.

Welcome to TCS, and feel free to post lots more photos of your handsome guy in the the thread linked in my signature (below).   He looks pretty mischievous to me and reckon you will have quite a few fun tales to tell.

My kitten is 4 months old, he weighs around 2.3kgs. A grey long coat with ghost tabby markings and bright blue green eyes. Very fluffy ears! His dad is a Turkish van but would like to know what else he has in him. He is incredibly playful and also affectionate but on his terms. Please help if you know!

Spontaneously, I would compare him with a russian blue of pet qualtiy - pet qualtiy because of him longish fur.

But as it is - you mention turkish van - we can perhaps instead compare him to a pet quality turkish angora instead?

Turkish angora are renown for being white and longhaired.  But since several time, also other colors are allowed.

It depends in part, of exactly what you do mean with turkish van parent.

Anyways, a pretty boy.    We use to call blue cats without sure ancestry for the Maltese cat.

Good luck!
