So basically i have a couple questions. I was gonna ask when i should fix my male kitten. He'll be 10weeks this thursday. I noticed most people say 12wks or ask a vet. I cant bring him home until hes fixed and declawed... i'll fix him willingly! But declawing... not a fan. Im in an apartment complex, and i have to "ask" to use nail caps. I'll declaw if i have to... but we'll probably move any way. I'd rather try nail caps or train him to use a post. I know one person with multiple cats of various ages who have caps and theyre fine. WHEN i move... i wont declaw him.. i dont think its a good idea... what do you guys think of declawing???

10 weeks is fine to be neutered. My cat was done young like that and he's fine. The rescue I got him from neuters all their cats before adopting, and so a lot of them get fixed earlier that 6 months.

As for the declawing issue, this is an anti-declaw site, so bear that in mind as to the responses you're likely to get.
Sounds like you've researched other options anyway. There's no way to go back from the surgery, so why do it if you can avoid it.

I also emailed the owner. If she says declaw, i say k bye. We want.to move any way, and this is one reason why. Declawing is inhumane and this company sucks.

Well, the owner of my complex rudely said no to nail caps as an alternativd to declawing because shes heartless. But oh well, we wanted to move out of her anyway. It's a terrible company. Dont ever rent from LSI Property Management.

Weeelllll i got a phone call from her saying i CAN have him home! Shouldve looked at the policy before telling me no smart one.
