Hello!

I found this forum while looking for help for a stray I picked up a week ago. To make a long story short, I used every last dollar I had to treat his URI and get a rabies shot. The next day, I discovered what I thought was frostbite. After another trip to the kind and generous vet, he was indeed diagnosed with necrotic ear tips. I am looking for help for the laser surgery, combo test and additional medical care. If his ears are not taken care of soon, they will just fall off leaving him open to additional pain, discomfort and possible infection. I started a gofundme.com campaign in hopes of him getting the help that he needs. You can view the campaign and read about him in more detail by going to www.gofundme.com/hy94ok.

In addition to needing medical care, he also needs a forever home. While I would live nothing more than to keep him, I can't afford him. It's going to break my heart to part with him but I know it's the right thing to do.

If you can donate, even if it's just a dollar or two, we would really appreciate it. If not, please take a second to share the link to not only help with his medical care but to also make more people aware of the dangers of animals being left to defend themselves against the elements.

Thank you!
Tanya

Thank you for allowing me to post this here. Not only do I understand your reason behind the warning but I can appreciate and respect it as well. I will be more than happy to answer and and all questions regarding this campaign and provide proof when/if requested. I would have posted the clinics name but because they were so generous (without me even asking), I wanted to respect their privacy from the general public so they don't get bombarded with people asking for discounts, etc. if you want to know the clinic name, please message me..I'll tell you all you want to know.

Thanks again!

I forgot to mention that my avatar pic was taken Monday evening, I believe, and the pic on my campaign was taken two days later. To say it progressed quick us an understatement. (I would have edited my post but I don't know how...sorry)

I'm excited to say that my stray boy is no longer in need of help. The vet put me in touch with somebody that is going to take him in, get him the care he needs and then adopt him out to an approved home. I couldn't be happier about it but at the same time I'm as sad as can be that I need to part with him so soon. But, gotta put his needs before mine, right?

Wonderful. I volunteer at a cat sanctuary, who rescued a frozen cat (literally, almost) in February. There were dogs all around him and he didn't budge. Definitely hypothermic. "Popsicle" (renamed Bubble Boy) could not see or hear very well and hid. Fast forward nine months, and he is doing fine, sees, hears (though probably has a polyp in his ear canal), friendly, likes petting. Unfortunately, he is FeLK+, but will be well taken care of during his permanent stay at the sanctuary.
