How do I introduce my 4-5 month old feral to my mom and dad?

Hey guys!

I recently decided to take in this feral cat(Tubby) I have been feeding with my girlfriend for about 1-2 months. We thought it would be better for her since it is getting cold outside. We took her to get vaccinated, spayed, etc about a 1-2 weeks ago and she is currently living in my room warm and happy! She lets me pet her and she isn't scared of me and my girlfriend anymore.

How I could introduce her to my parents/strangers since we live in a two story house. I Currently have her toys, scratching post, bed and litterbox in my room. I usually keep the door closed because it seems like she feels safer when it is closed. But whenever someone walks up the stairs or comes into my room, she will run and hide. When everyone goes to sleep I leave the door open for her to roam around. She just recently started to venture outside of my room. She is very scared of my parents, when they come up to see her. My parents want to befriend her and hopefully gain her trust so she isn't scared of the people who are living with her. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Let your parents talk to them, friendly soft voices.  Let them give her food and treats, even change her litter if they agree...

And above all, let them rest their  p.m. nap in her room, comfortably laying down on a madrass, or even on the bed / sofa...   With a little luck, she will lay down on their chest after a while...  :)

Or between their legs.

Good luck!

I would definitely let her set the pace.  Make sure no one forces their attention on her or tries to pick her up without her permission.  Take it slow and steady and she'll get used to people soon enough.  She may never pick their laps to sit on but she'll get used to them.

As the others have said, patience and a gentle approach will work wonders.

I would say she once had a home as, judging by her behaviour, she's not a true feral.

What a lucky girl, to have found you.

Thanks for all the tips, and I think she has some bit of trust because of the two months we spent feeding her everyday. I think we were lucky to start feeding them when she was young so she is used to seeing people.
