Our 3 year old Siamese cat, Koko went missing this past October 4th of 2014. He went missing near Washington Street in Woodbury, CT after likely getting scared of by the sounds of local construction work happening at the time. I've tried absolutely everything I can think of to try to help him find his way home. So far the attempted rescue methods have been: speaking to our neighbors to let them know he's missing, hanging up signs with his picture and information around town, putting ads in the local newspaper, contacting local veterinary offices and shelters, and having him featured on the "Lost Pets" section of the local news, and even hiring a pet detective to search for his whereabouts.
The results of our search method have unfortunately proved unsuccessful so far. None of our neighbors have seen him recently, the only people that called us thinking that they have spotted him have been from out of town and the descriptions of the cat they've seen have been different from our beloved Koko. The pet detective's hound last picked up his scent at a nearby nursery, and after the owner's consent we had left a trail camera on the premises for a few weeks. All that we saw on camera was wild animals, and not a single cat.
I have a strong feeling that he's still out there, and am remaining positive no matter what at this point. Without evidence that he is gone for good, I will continue to hope and pray that he finds his way home. After all, this cat means the world to me as we've had an instant connection since we first recued him, and he's also my best friend.
Koko was born to a feral mother, but has never acted feral himself. He's never been gone for more than a few hours at a time as he prefers to sleep inside and doesn't like the cold weather. He's a white short-hair Ragdoll Siamese cat with a black tail with gray stripes. He's incredibly intelligent but also very shy.
If anyone has any suggestions/tips as to any other viable rescue methods that I should implement, I would really appreciate it. Also, if anyone in Woodbury, CT sees him or has any information about his whereabouts there WILL be a reward to any information that leads to his rescue. Please have Koko in your prayers that he will find his way home..
