I'm looking for a new set of dryer sheets. What do you like or use currently? I remember using this set long ago that smells awesome. The best I can describe it is that it smells like mom tucking me in bed as a kid, if that makes sense. Sadly I don't remember what it was called. Have been looking for it ever since, no joy.

We don't use them anymore. I suppose we should during the winter because of static. The dryer softens them  and our detergent is kind of smelly, so they just smell of the detergent we use. Most of the fabric sheets we've tried are very stinky and the cats don't like the smell.

Another one here that doesn't use them. I have allergies and asthma, so I normally use unscented laundry detergent as well.

I use liquid fabric softener not sheets because a lot of my clothes don't go in the dryer but I think you may be referring to Bounce brand dryer sheets. They do smell really good and they have been around for many years

look familiar?

I just use Walmart brand unscented. None of the scented ones smell good to me, but I need them because of static or everything would be covered in dog/cat hair :tongue2:.

Maybe ask your mom what dryer sheets she uses. Or what she used when you were a kid anyway.

Nope.
I tried to smell a few of them at the supermarket, but they're sealed tight so I can't just rip them open to smell.

She lives in a tropical place with 100 degree weather all year round, so there's no real need for a dryer since the sun is free. My landlady recently changed the dryer in the communal laundry room, and this new one makes all my clothes have this .... nasty industrial smell to it. Hence why I need something to counteract the smell. At the moment, I've resorted to double-handwashing the ones I want to wear.

Gain? Snuggle? I don't use dryer sheets here, partly because I'm too poor and cheap to even use a dryer in the communal laundry room much less buy dryer sheets, but my parents use Snuggle when I visit and bring my laundry back with me, haha. Even if they didn't use a dryer sheet, everything at home smells good and for some reason their detergent smells way better than mine even if we use the same brand. Someone sent some dryer sheets to family members overseas once and they took the sheets out of the box and put it into a more parcel-friendly bag and left the box with me. It smelled so good that I kept it in the back of the post office for 4 days, hahaha.

If you're wary of chemicals and still want a customizable smell, you can always make your own: http://housewifehowtos.com/do-laundry/how-to-make-your-own-dryer-sheets/
