Is anyone else splurging on their cats this season?

I've been Christmas shopping for a few days now, just mass ordering stuff online and hitting up the post office (oww, my wallet), and I figured while I was ordering a book for my brother's Christmas gift I would grab something for the cats off Amazon. Aside from their/our Secret Santa gifts in anticipation, this is what the cats are getting from me:

My boyfriend doesn't really shop for them... Which, especially around Christmas time, automatically means I love them more.
They'd better enjoy it! It ships out from one city away on Monday!

I've already given the birds their Christmas gifts - I bought about $100 of little bird toys and toy making supplies, have made 8 toys for them so far, and they received one of their two Secret Santa gifts with 3 toys.

Oh that's cute!

Since every day around here is like Christmas for our cats
we don't really do special 'gifts' for them.

But I have Christmas stockings for I made years ago for the stepkids--as time went on, I made stockings for their spouses and kids, too.  And then I made little stockings for the cats.
Everybody laughs when I hang them up, but I think they're cute.  I don't put anything in them, they're just for decoration.

The cats are getting new beds that I got a great deal on from Kohl's. I also got them tags that are also GPS devices. Those won't be here until January but could be considered a late Christmas gift or early birthday present.  http://www.thetrackr.com/bravo

I got them with the laser etching (their names and my phone number) and the pet collar attachments.

GPS tags sound so handy!

I would love to collar and tag shop for our cats, but they tend to consider collars the ultimate threat.
Would love to see pictures when they arrive!

Kinda hard to buy gifts for a cat who is either disinterested in, or scared of, most things.

Modern looking cat shelves. They like to be higher up and only one fits on the top tower of the cat tree they got last year.

Lilith got away for a very short period of time a few days after I got the cats. That and reading stories here about cats that get lost and are gone for long periods of time makes me paranoid that I'll lose them. Having the ability to find them using my phone if they ever got lost is a comfort.

...with the cats...
christmas is snick's favorite holiday. she gets very excited when i bring out her stocking on christmas day. seeing my girl enjoy her christmas day and her gifts makes a wonderful christmas for me too.

snick always gets christmas gifts from me. she gets a big gift, at least one medium sized gift, and her stocking filled with toys and usually a new "baby" (stuffed animal that she can snuggle with in her cat bed). this year will be our jasper's first year with us, so christmas will be very special for him.

i just put up the better part of snick and jasper's big christmas gift yesterday and the day before -- some more cat shelves https://www.etsy.com/listing/92725645/15-off-sale-cat-wall-shelf-carpeted-set?ref=shop_home_active_3 , the cradle and the 48" ramp from this package  http://www.catsplay.com/cradle-2-ramps-cat-wall-climbing-package, and one small shelf  (which i'm just ordering now, and will put up when it gets here)  https://www.etsy.com/listing/212804519/cat-shelf-1-small-floating-shelf?ref=shop_home_active_1 .

Hugs, kisses and all over petting.  Plus tidbits from the most excellent Christmas dinner.

Petsmart online has big reductions on a few trees, including one by Armacat marked at $89!!! I ordered that. Free shipping over $49.

Mogli will be getting some new toys plus a treat of "human food" he normally doesn't get, like tuna or salmon in water.

The shelter I work at has a couple of those Cat It Senses toys. They're really popular with the kittens, who usually manage to completely dismantle them a few times a week. Some of the older cats prefer fishing pieces of dry food out of them.

We have a small cat tree coming next week for Casper.  He's getting older and having trouble jumping up onto areas where he can see out windows.  We just rearranged our home office and it now has a clear area in front of the windows.  The one we bought has only 3 levels, and tops out around the height of the bottom of the window.  I'm hoping he claims the space before Cocoa does, since she already has the prime "bed over the radiator in front of the huge picture window" spot.  Casper won't even go up there if we put him there; it's too much her place and he jumps right down.  Since he really enjoys being around us, but not on top of us, this should be a big hit for him.

Not sure about Cocoa yet. That track ball posted above is something I've had my eye on for a while.  She loves the one she has already, but after nearly 2 years it's gotten kind of boring to her. That one would provide a new shape for her to explore.

I honestly don't know. :dk: Abby's had some stomach issues lately, so it won't be treats. She will probably be getting a few toys.

My little boy, Vinnie is getting one of those spinning lazer-dot things. Like a Ba-Da-Beam or Frolicat. A motion activated one if I can find it would be a good idea for when I'm not home or for nightime. He's very picky about his toys; he doesn't like stuffed toys of any kind or even things like twist ties, but he goes absolutly nuts for lazer pointers! That and an extra noisy paper bag lol!

I think steps that will go up to the bed. We have noticed that it's getting more difficult for BooBoo, esp, to make the jump; his arthritis is slowly getting worse. Pepe is still Ok, but it's probably only a matter of time before she starts having trouble, too. We're going to look around and see what we can find for them.

I got my kittens some treats, I think the are the blue brand, and a laser. I want to get one of those round things with the ball that spins. We had a small one but Max was able to get the ball out and it's missing somewhere. That thing kept him busy for 20 mins straight when we first got it. I'm staying up late for American Girl cyber Monday deals, so maybe I will check out some pet places and see what I can get deals on.

How sweet! I'm sure (well, hopeful) that in addition to their normal daily lovin', the cats will be appreciative of their new things, especially if it means ease in spending more time with us.

It depends on how good "santa" is to me.  I would like to get another cat tree so Mooch also has a perch to get up high on.  I have a very active toddler and a preschooler.  It's important both have safe retreats to use.
