Hi,

Any suggestions about what I can do about it?

I have FGDE food grade diatomaceous earth and activated charcoal.

His teeth look good and white. I feed them raw bones often, with meats of course. I haven't taken them to the vet in 2-3 years. They look great.

Bad breath in a cat quite often means Stomatitis. Please take Luke to the vet and get him a dental cleaning so that the vet can take a good look. Stomatitis is very, very painful. Cats usually do not show us their pain until a condition becomes very bad. Stomatitis is thought to be an autoimmune disorder in which the cat is literally allergic to his teeth. I have had 2 cats with this, it is awful. It usually has nothing to do with cavities etc and is very common. The sooner it is dealt with the better the chance at stopping it.

Hmmm, I've never heard of that. I'll look into it. Thanks.

I second this. It has nothing to do with thr food- some cats ar just born with teeth that cant protect themselves from plaque, I was told.
I was able to improve the health of one of my cats by brushing her teeth daily. She didnt like having her teeth brushed but you can start out by wrapping pantyhose with a little tuna water / oil on it around your finger andassaging her gums that way.
