My Wiggs is quite the little purr machine. He will just sit there purring away for no other reason than he's happy I suppose. You can even see him moving with the purrs. He also purrs readily when you go and pat him while he's sleeping.
Pushy on the other hand only really purrs when he's having a good cuddle. He is a cuddly cat though and will race up for snuggles when he sees us sitting or lying down.

How about your cats? Do they purr often and is it easy to cuddle the purrs out of them? :rub:

Mo purrs all the time. All you have to do is look at him and he purrs. He purrs from being near people or with people, or if he's found a particularly appealing part of the plastic hamper, he's just always purring for one reason or another. He purred at the vet's from being manhandled.

Kismet purrs when she's getting good pets, often in bed or in her spot on the bath mat.

Mattie only purrs when you hold her near your head. I think she does it then because she hears us breathing.

Patches is generally my purr boy.  When he was sick off and on I never heard him purr.  After getting his health issues sorted out he turned into a real purr box.  The only time he doesn't is when he very occasionally doesn't feel well.  I never hear Alice purr.  I even put my ear right next to her and nothing.  She does the trilling thing when she is happy.

All six of our kids are purrers and you can hear them a mile away when they're in full purr. I can tell who's purring because each one sound different.

When I first brought Ruby home from the shelter (a year ago) she seemed to purr all the time.   Now not so much. In fact, it seems like she mostly purrs when she wants to be fed.

Sometimes she'll purr when she's in my lap, but most times she just curls ups and goes to sleep. I kind of miss her purring, but she's also much more relaxed / content than she was when I first brought her home.  Odd, isn't it, the happier she gets, the less she purrs.

My RB cat Tiger was a purrer and super affectionate.  I miss that!

Mooch purrs when she is on me.  That would be 24/7 if she had her way.  Noodles purrs when she feels like it; if we are petting her or she is in my lap.  She just had a nice little purr session on the couch with me.  The house has to be quiet too.

Cocoa purrs up a storm.  She's pretty loud too.  In the morning, she'll come up between Tom and I to remind us about breakfast (cause, at 5:30 am we surely must have forgotten ROFL).  She'll settle in and we'll give her some pets and the motor goes on. She uses her purrs excessively for lots of reasons.  It doesn't take much from us to get her started.

Casper, will mostly purr when he's very content hanging near us.  But, it's never quite as loud as Cocoa's is which sort of makes it all the more endearing.  He reserves his for special moments.

All five of ours are purrers (hmmm, that's probably not really a word...LOL) but Ozzy is the champion.  All you have to do is touch him and he starts up--he's such a love bug.

My cat purrs nearly everytime I'm around! He sits there and meows at me and then starts purring. He does it even more if he knows he's about to be fed.

With Sabbath, if you are touching her, she is purring, she purrs when she kneads, when she licks, when she cuddles, and even when she is just looking at me while she is laying on my feet. She is my little purr monster.

My cat is kind of a fickle purrer. The loudest he gets is when kneading his favorite blanket, especially if he's a little hungry. He purrs incessantly when I walk in the door, no matter how long I've been away lol, but it's kinda a gentle purr. He can crank it up though, til you can hear him several feet away. But why purr? I'm at his beck and call!!!

While Mogli purrs when you hug or pet him, what really gets him started is the sight or smell of food of any kind.He even does it when he sees me stacking cans in the pantry or when his Daddy is unloading groceries from the car. Can we say "obsessed"?

Swanie can purr up a storm. He starts purring if you start petting him and just gets louder. He also purrs when he sees you're getting his food out.  When we first got him and he was a young cat, if you reached toward him he would flop over on his side and purr loud enough to hear in the next county.

The cat we are waiting to adopt, Cricket, is also very purry when you pet her.  Cricket is going to be spayed tomorrow and we can take her home once they know she is doing okay and healing - maybe by the end of the week, maybe the next week.  We have been spending a little time with her in the shelter, and it's not a really loud purr, but loud enough to be heard.

My kid purrs, when I hug, or kiss her (cuuuute :3), and while she's eating.

Hmm.  Let's see.

Caboose loves his scratches behind the ears so he purrs alot then.  And he's really loud.  Love that.  I've tried recording his purrs, but haven't gotten a good recording yet.

Snoopy purrs when she gets her tummy scratched.  And sometimes when she's stressed.  She's pretty loud too.

Cookie purrs with cuddles and pets.  She is so quiet though that I have to put my head on her to hear her.

All of my cats are very purry!

Abby

If you look at her she purrs!   She purrs loud and fast and sounds like a freight train sometimes!  Ok, well not that bad, but it's loud!  LOL  She even purrs in her sleep sometimes when we're cuddling.

Katie
She purrs when she is being cuddled, or scratched or brushed.... or.....   And she drools!!!

Spencer

His purr is very quiet. You feel it more than you hear it.  He's 4 now, but when he was a kitten he purred during cuddles, but at some point he stopped purring.  Now he's started again, but you don't know it unless you put your hand on him to feel the vibration.

Speedy is my little siamese mix and she purrs, but you can't really hear it.  You can feel the vibrations and her stomach moves but honestly, there is not much sound!
