We had eight inches of snow at 4:00 this afternoon. Our local weatherweenie said 3-4 more tonight before it stops between 9 and midnight. So by that time, we'll have a good foot of snow. The good news is that it's supposed to warm up into the 40s this weekend.

Apex, the flying dragon is on top of the arbor. He's pretty much covered with snow.

Eight inches is better than eight feet, I suppose. But I am not amused.

Gross! lol

No signs of snow here again yet, temperature is just above freezing so it's been a little on the damp side, but no more snow since last week. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll melt in a couple days. The snow can come back later. Emphasis on later, and not for too long...

It's really too early for all this, snow and earlier single digit temps.  The only day I like snow is Christmas eve, just enough to make things pretty but still easy to get around.  Not too cold and melt back off shortly after Christmas.

Ew, so much white masty stuff! We haven't had anything here, stuff from a couple of weeks ago melted, so I'm walking around in sneakers and dress shoes. Too lazy to put on snow boots since there's no snow. Yet.

Ugh!  It looks wet and heavy too!  We've had about 1.26" of rain here.  My cousin is living where the snow part of this hit.  She's staying with a friend during the work week because she took a job in a new city where she is buying a house; but hasn't closed on it yet.  She's snowed in at her friend's for Thanksgiving.
I'm not sure if the roads will be good enough for her to get home tomorrow.

We finished at 11 inches, pretty much where one of the weather stations said we would. And Rick did not allow the plow guy to come in, so he shoveled part of the driveway yesterday and will do other part today.

Thankfully, we did not lose power; we had all that wind a week or so ago and that got rid of a lot of the leaves on the trees. That helped. The road in front of the house looks fairly bare (what I can see at this hour).

We'll be fine! And whatever Rick's dad decides to do, well, that's fine, too.

Our Thanksgiving dinner will be on Friday. Thankfully, everybody understood and they're all willing to come on Friday.

(Our neighbors were out last night with their little snow plow on their riding mower. They're from Texas and so they're not used to this. She said, "I don't get it. We were in town and they got about four inches.....maybe. We come home and look at this! Just look at this!" Well, yeah, we live on a hill and that's what happens. She thought it was great. Her husband told her to wait until March or so and then tell him how great it is.

...with the cats...
we got 2-3 inches of snow overnight. just enough to make a pretty thanksgiving morning, but not enough to need major snow shoveling. our town snow plow made it's rounds a short while ago, for the first time this season.

I agree with Denice about it being way too early and we're starting to get those horrible arctic cold fronts already too. IMO, something is very very wrong.

Wow, that's a lot a once! Shame it fell on Thanksgiving; very inconvenient. I hope your dinner goes well today instead.
