Very lucky Kitties the best of both indoor and and a safe outdoor. I can't provide any outdoor areas for mine because we live in a town home.
Well, staying inside is a lot safer for them. And there's always the window sills if they want to look outside! In any case, you're doing great <3

I don't have any strictly indoor cats. I have 20 cats that have access to a huge outdoor enclosure. they come in and out as they please.

It's a crazy number of cats to have, I know. I never intended to have this many. I started to do TNR when I first moved to this area about five years ago and I've re-homed lots of kittens. The ones that live with me are kittens that didn't get re-homed but are now too dependent on me to go back to the feral colony, cats from the colony that were too old/sick to fend for themselves and a couple of abandoned pet cats that wouldn't have lasted long outdoors.

Oh, and The Mu. My six year old torbie girl who was supposed to be my only cat.

Well, now that someone else has admitted to having a ridiculous number of cats. . .:tongue2:

I have 25 indoor cats currently, soon to be 24. Sadly, Bitsy has cancer and it won't be much longer :(. I had 26 but one of them went to live with my mom after her elderly cat died. I don't find their care overwhelming; it's just become routine for me. They all get whatever care they need but I'm sure most of them would prefer more individual attention :D. I hope to get an outdoor enclosure built but for now they're indoor-only.

Of course I never intended to have this many. I do like having a large family but 6-10 would be plenty! But stuff happens. Strays and dumped cats just keep coming. The biggest population boom happened in 2010 when I trapped a feral mama cat and her 4 kittens, then I had to wait 3 months for an appointment at the low-cost spay/neuter clinic, and by then I thought the kittens were too accustomed to being indoors to be released, but they weren't tame enough to be rehomed. . .so 5 new kitties all at once.

I have 3 cats. My husband built a cat enclosure for me in the yard 2 of them are restricted to that if they want to be outdoors. My oldest cat is allowed in the yard areas that are not enclosed but only when I am outside too. He has never shown interest in leaving which is odd because he had been feral. I always say that he is so happy to have a home , love , companionship and regular food that he has no desire to leave. I would very much like to have 5 cats. Ha, my husband just says ' no', truly I hate that because  take such good care of them, I work out of  my home so they are such good company. We can afford them so I wish I could save another. I was raised with many animals , my husband never had a pet. In my early 40's I went back t school for animal behavior. Hubby and I did not marry until then. He originally dated me when I had 2 cats and 2 dogs ( and 2 kids) I remember he asked if " I really needed those animals" I laughed and told him that when you date a woman  who is pursuing a degree in animal behavior that was probably a dumb question. I would like to have a cat fence installed around the entire property and perhaps let that contain a colony. several people here at TCS have inspired me and I feel that would be a wonderful thing to do. I will never get tired of watching animals, getting to know them and gaining their trust.I feel I should add that my husband truly likes cats , which is fortunate because it would not ever have worked if he wasn't open to animals in our life.

We have two of our own and a foster-girl. Still waiting to see if Matt will let her stay, but we took her in to socialize her and she's doing well on that front :)

Where my cats are
I have two.  My husband is allergic to cats so we are limited to 2.  I'm ok with that at this stage of my life.  The most I have had is 3 and that was when I lived at home as a pre-teen.  When my Mom and Step-dad married I had 2 and my step-dad had 1.  One of mine passed about 2 years after they were married and it stayed 2 cats after that; although they are have been back up to 3 for the last 9 1/2 years.

I have one indoor cat. I would love to have another one but she hates other cats. I also have 7 feral cats I feed and care for so I guess 8 cats is enough for me right now.

I have two inside plus one big dog inside. I have three outside-only "former feral" cats. It took about three years to get them tame enough to pet, but all three stay close to the house most of the time and sleep in the garage most nights. The most I have ever had inside was five.

I have three cats, all with their own unique personalities and they were all rescues. Two them were found outside in different places. My oldest is a calico named Baby, which fits her. When she was an only cat she was a big baby and wanted to be loved constantly. Once the other two cats came along she got moody and now she doesn't like my other two kitties at all and when we try to show her attention it's hit or miss. Pet her and she's purring one minute and slapping at you the next. Charlie came next, he is such a loveable tiger striped cat. Always wants attention, let's you hold him like a baby. He adopted my mom, he likes being where ever she is, his favorite place to sleep is on a pillow above her head. Jingles is my youngest. I took her from a friend that saved her. She is the kind of cat that needs someone who has patience. She acts as though she has been mistreated. Its taken me a little over Two years to get her to where she is today. She still takes off running if she's startled, she gets nervous if you stand over her or there's more then one person in the room with her. She's hard to pick up, she will struggle but I've been trying to ease her of that. She sleeps with me every night and she does like attention once she's comfortable. They are all like my kids and I love them very much. I would love to rescue another in the near future.

I have 2 cats (sisters) and a dog (12 YO female border collie). It's a good number for me.  They all get along well. Adding another might mess with that.

We live with 7 indoor cats. 1 old boy and 6 ladies. 3 are mine and 4 belong to my parents. This year the vet visits have really added up but everyone's doing well so I'm happy.

Ummm..

2 barncats Zappa, black & Smokey who is gray. They are father & son.
9 who I call the bachelors...they have their own bachelor pad in the shop in garage. They all arrived one or two a year. I didn't want to upset the group of 7 that lived in barn. Inky,
Curley, Moon, Wildman, Radar, Ice, Deuce, Rascal & PC, who appeared last fall, scruffy, neutered and the worst declaw job my vet had ever seen...

Housecats ? I lost 3 last spring and winter.
Tazz - small cell lymphoma
Portia - lost her battle with Felv at 2 & a half.
Kayenne my longest living Felv baby at 4 & a 1/2.
On to the happy alive kids...
Boggle 17 ! A lynx point mix, very spoiled and treasured...even though he has pee marking issues.
Duncan the Punkin... use your imagination ;).
Tex, a blk & wh. tuxedo who is a stinker in a lot of ways...

Somehow I keep hitting wrong button...we were at
Dweezil black also a son of Zappa. A real character who will share what you're eating, like it or not !
Zoey brwn/blk mack. tabby, our 4 yr. perpetual kitten. She was just 1# 6 ozs when I found her in the barn clinging to the side of a bucket...no mom or sibs in sight.
Maggie 15 yrs. was Tazz's mom, she is a gray tabby who I kind of swiped from my sister...she's spending her golden yrs with us.
Slim 11 or 12, a DLH who grew and grew... not so slim, but he's just a big boy.
Down to my special Felv babies..
Cranberry 1 1/2, black & white, was rescued by some kind dog rescue transporters when they saw her thrown from a car.
Salem he's also 1 1/2 and all black. Very rambunctious, keeps Cranberry on her toes...

There, you guys total it up I can't count that high...[emoji]128521[/emoji]
