I have a cat with past UTI/Crystal issues, so I'm always paranoid with her urine flow. I had to take her off a pouch based food a month ago as she doesn't tolerate the tapioca starch in it and has loose stool while eating. The sad part is she filled the box up. Now, since I've switched her off she's not producing as much and I'm super paranoid she'll develop another batch of crystal. I'm seeing about two clumps of urine a day now, ranging in size from twice a gold ball, to a small lime. before the change she was producing about a softball size, maybe close to two.

What is normal for your kitties? Mine is 12 and weighs 12.5

I have 4 cats ranging in age from 9 years to 6 months.  Three females, one male.  The older girls, 9 yo and 3 yo, have large clumps and urinate a few times a day.  My 4 yo male has small clumps and urinates about 4 times a day.  My little one has small clumps and urinates several times a day, but she's a kitten and that's normal.

As you've already figured out, your kitty does better on wet food.  If possible, can you find a different wet food that doesn't contain tapioca?

Agree with @stephanietx. Anoher suggestion is to get a water fountain? Hugo is 1 year old and about 11 pounds (maybe more since he started putting on winter weight). I get about 4 sizeable clumps from him in the litter box. Note though, Hugo has been eating more wet than usual - so his diet is now 2/3 wet and 1/3 dry.

my 10 yr old female only leaves one clump of urine a day...sometimes another at night, about the size of a small apple. She only gets liquids from her wet food...she won't touch the water in her bowl....sometimes she'll get a drink from a faucet.

My 1 year 3 month old, female, makes just two pee clumps a day-large and one poo. She eats 50% raw and 50% canned and never drinks from her water bowl either.
