The day after i bought my kitten I took him to the vets for a check over, he was fled, wormed, ear mites and give eye drops. A week later I noticed blood in his poop twice so I took him to the vets the next morning, we was told it was the dewormer working and that it was the worms dying a unattaching from his intestine we was given this protein paste to give him to help his intestines heal. He also had really mucky ears and we was told what we could see was all the mite dirt from the mites dying she cleaned his ear and off we went nearly 5 weeks later his ears keep getting the same dirt in and we've cleaned them on three occasions and also today I noticed blood in his poop again. I am really concerned but at the same time don't want to pay the vet appointment fee just to be told its nothing (again) any advice would be great

thanks

If his ears are still getting dirty after 5 weeks, he probably still has mites. I would take him back for another ear mite treatment (sometimes it does take 2 or 3), and ask about the blood in his stool as well. After this much time it would not be just from the wormer. He may need to be wormed again too. Parasites often take several treatments to get rid of them all.

Ive just got frontline flea treatment and drontal wormer online as when i rung the vets about buying it from them they wanted us to book an appointment and pay for the appointment fee which i thought was a bit unneeded as he only saw them a few weeks ago. is this normally procedure when buying treatment from the vets or was they trying to get more money out of us?

Thanks for the advice i will keep it in mind

I think that's pretty common, they want to see the cat and make sure they're getting the right medication. I personally just buy flea and worm meds online as you did, since I know which ones are safe.
