Hi all, I'm new to the forum.  I have 4 rescue cats who are all completely spoiled.

Our first two were Miles and Biscuit.  It was going to be Miles and Coltrane, but Coltrane seemed too serious.  We got Daisy sometime later, then Tavis most recently (named for Tavis Smiley).  I will find some pictures.  Ages 10, 10, 7 and 4

Here is Biscuit.  He is also from Indiana.  Here he is hunting in the sanctuary.  Biscuit is super smart.  He can open some doors, flush toilets, etc.  He is our best hunter.  He brought in 15 chipmunks this year (first year in this house).  All but 2 survived as we took them form him in time.  None of out other cats have caught any chipmunks.  He has also brought in a mole, a bird, and a couple cicadas.

This is Daisy.  She hails from eastern PA.  Mile and Biscuit both came from a shelter (same time), whereas Daisy was living under a coworkers truck as a kitten.  We weren't trying to accumulate cats and the initial thought was to foster her, but she won us over quickly.  We think she is part flame-point Siamese and her temperament also indicated this (short temper).  She is our princess.

Here is Tavis.  He hails from Seattle.  We picked him up from the Whisker City bus.  They are a great no kill shelter in that area.  Tavis is a little guy and likes his house.  He is very domesticated.  He's basically our Nermal cat... adorable.

They're gorgeous, I love your cat enclosure too.

I've got a big enclosure for my cats and they're always bringing in little "gifts" for me. I've had three moles, two mice, a bird and a couple of lizards so far.

Ok so now I don't feel so worried that I just adopted my 4th rescue cat. Since I will be away over night I will not be picking her up until  Fri. It was love at first sight and the whole tome I kept saying to myself don't be crazy you already have 3 rescued cats and 1 rescued dog. Enough is enough! So glad to read about someone else who has 4 cats. Nice to meet you and welcome to the site. Your cats are all darling. Mine are Trinity, Amber, Twilight, And soon to be coming home to us Beauty. Our dog is Callie.

Her is a pic of Beauty I just couldn't say no. She is so awesome.

Yes, 4 cats is our limit.  Honestly, none of the three were happy when we brought Tavis home.  Our first two came together. When we got Daisy, it was instant acceptance (maybe had to do with her being a girl, I don't know), but it was two solid weeks before the herd accepted Tavis.  They are all great friends now, but I think they would all be mad if we got a 5th.  Also considering giving each one enough attention.

The cat beds are a company I've started. I make them.  Once i hit adult cat status, I will put one in the marketplace :)

Welcome to TCS! Beautiful kitties too. My eldest brother lived in Ames for several years. He worked for the Rheames Noodle factory. He got sick of the cold and moved back here to Nashville.

We just moved from Seattle (much to my chagrin). My wife is at ISU.  I work out of my garage.  Last winter was brutal and this one looks to be similar :(

I had a cat who was an apex predator too. There wasn't a bird, mouse, or mole in a 10 block radius who wasn't put "on notice" when Prez was outside.

Unfortunately a waste of life neighbor DeConned his shed that was full if mice and Prez ate some of the sick mice. He passed very quickly afterwards.

Since that I have refused to let any of my cats outside. I grew up in the country and had inside/ outside cats my whole life, too.

Idiot neighbors should go find a hole to lie in.

I'm sorry to hear about that :(    I think the main reason we don't let our guys out is cars, but that's another mean one.  People seem to have no hesitation about dousing chemicals around.
