Unless you got him from a respectable breeder who breeds registered cats, it's extremely unlikely, unless, of course, you found him in the Kuril Islands! ;) Especially if you live in the US as they're incredibly rare in North America. Slightly more common in Europe, apparently.

Most cat breeds come from naturally occurring genes so it's usually possible to find a random-bred cat who resembles some kind of breed. But unless there's an irresponsible breeder who has lost a few cats in your area, the likelihood of a rare breed randomly showing up somewhere is very low.

He's amazing though. His coloring and everything---he's just gorgeous!

Wow, that colouring! What a stunner! Sorry, I have no input on the breed, but he's beautiful.

Love Loki's black and smoke colored coat. Not sure of the real name for his coat but that is how I see it. He is beautiful.
