I know many of you have had problems with Internet Explorer. I cannot use IE on TCS to post pictures as I cannot see the tool bar for pictures, so when I post pics I use Chrome or Firefox.

Now I have found that on my Facebook page I do not see the "comments" box and several of my recent posts are gone. If I go to Chrome or Firebox I can see the comment box and all my posts with no problem. Does anyone know why this happens? Or if there is any remedy to correct IE.

What version of IE do you have? You should make sure that you have the latest version.

I believe I have IE-8. I imagine there is a later version. Should I try to download this - or would I be better off just using Chrome or Firefox and not looking for more trouble. I actually had an on-line chat before with IE rep and they wanted to access my computer, but I got nervous at the last minute as I'm afraid of anything that could happen.

11 is the newest -- you can get it here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/download-ie

Whether or not you should change browsers is up to you. Me, I'm not a fan of IE at all, lots of things seem to go wrong with it. They've gotten a lot better recently, though, but in the end it's what you feel comfortable with. At the very least, I would go with katachtig's suggestion and get the latest version and see if that fixes the issue.

Downloading the latest is definitely advised. It has more security and it is very possible that the web sites you are having problems with no longer support the older version.
