I have a wonderful male cat named Gnarly. He's about 9 months old, neutered, and absolutely adorable. He sleeps in my bed with me, cuddles in my lap, loves to play with me, and spends plenty of time with me. The problem, however, is that he is extremely possessive.
I live in a house with 4 other people, including my husband, and Gnarly gets very upset whenever anyone comes to close to either Gnarly or myself. He hisses and scratches and bites and howls. He doesn't mind being around people, so long as they aren't too close to us.
Does anyone have any advice? I would love for my fur baby to socialize and gain some trust in people other than just me, and for him to allow me to have relationships with more than just him.
