My cold has finally shown up - yuck! I've not been feeling really great for a couple of weeks, but never really sick. Well, it's now here. I'm kind of glad, because now I can justify lying around drinking OJ and napping alot, and hopefully it will finally go away for good!

My husband has been working his tail off on our kitchen/dining room, because we're hosting Thanksgiving here. I'm being no help at all, but my brother came over. Hubby painted everything bright lime green, got new lights, etc. to go with our new dining room set. It's really in your face bright, but we both do like it. And I went shopping with my mom yesterday, and found these really cool cat pictures - 4 of them, really whimsical paintings in super bright colors, and 2 have our green in them. So I splurged and bought them; can't wait to see what they look like up!

Gotta go nap - it's a good day for it, lots of snow here. Hope everyone has a great day!

It's been humid and warm today here in Houston. We had a quick shower a couple of mintues ago, but we really didn't need it since we had the flood last week. Just finished a take home test in Geology! Have one more to go and I am done!! In Psych, I finished my paper and have 2 more tests in there, have to take them by the 5th!!

My last day is December 6th!! I will be so happy, this has been the most difficult semester yet, and I only took 7 hours!! (I guess it is working full-time). Mittens is laying beside me purring real loudy! Zack just woke up and is working on the computer from home today, and listening to Christmas music. I guess a lot of us are getting in the Spirit!!

We are going to his parents in Sweeny this week (on Wednesday)...not sure how long will we stay though. I thought I would just pack 4 days worth of clothes just in case we stay till Sunday night!! Should be fun! I get to see my sister-in-law and go shopping with her! I made this weeks shopping list, and well I only need to buy eggs and two or three things. Looks like we are going to the local market for groceries instead of driving 10 miles to Walmart!Well, gotta get some laundry done!

We woke up to 10 inches of snow this morning and it's still

I'm leaving in an hour to go work out, and then I'm cleaning my kitchen and moping my floors, and having my bestfriend and my goddaughter over. It's my best friend's birthday and I'm gonna cook her a BIG home cooked dinner tonight and we're gonna watch a movie here at my house.


Caprice: I was born in Texas and have family there. I also have long time friends in both Sweeny and West Columbia. I bet we know some of the same people!

My mother graduated from high school in West Columbia!

Both Sweeny and West Columbia are sooo tiny!

It's poured with rain here ALL weekend. I've got some kinda bug coz I feel sick, dizzy, hot and tired.

Had to do some computer work at home today in preparation for a proposal I need to submit to hopefully win an advertising campaign. I SO didn't feel like doing it . . .

Dominik (the baby) has been a grizzly little thing for the last few days as he had his 2nd inoculations late last week, but today he was finally settling down a bit.

It's coming up for 10pm here and I'm feeling really achy so will go to bed soon.

I just want someone to chop off my nose. Apparently I am allergic to Sundays.

Almost every Sunday I wake up and am all congested and stuffed up. *sniffle* So we are going to go pick up a couple things at Wal Mart and the grocery store just so I can get out of the house and breathe.

Been working hard on the new website, but I don't feel like I'm making any progress. I know it's because I'm working on parts that will eventually make the whole thing work, but it's getting a bit frustrating. I've been working on photos for a week, and just yesterday finally put together the site style. There is so much to say about the hotel, but she doesn't want a lot of text because people don't generally read it. And I'm having a hard time putting the photos together with the small amount of text and not looking crowded. *sigh*

So anyway, I'm very much looking forward to the three day work week, even though it is going to be nuts in the office. At least I have the 4 day weekend to look forward to.

I'm so lazy today I didn't even get out of my pajamas. Took a nap for a couple of hours (with only 4 of the cats this time) and cleaned out some e-mails. We're having leftovers for dinner so don't really have to cook.

I know I have lots of stuff to do to get ready for Xmas but just felt like being the slug today.

Oh yeah, and its 27 degrees and dropping here - our first winter day in KC.

We just got home from Chicago and boy did we shop! Xmas and things for us we spent WAY beyond our budget but hey, it's only once a year that you can do that right?? We still have 21 people to shop for!
I"ve been off the whole weekend cause it's honey birthday tomorrow and he is working and so am I so we took the weekend off to spend some time together and have some much needed fun. Sat we wet out to eat and to a comedy club with some friends. It was hilarious! We laughed so hard our sides ached when we left! And not only did we get in for free(they gave us food and a front center table!!!), they gave us coupons to redeem for $5.00 of either chips for the boat or just the money, so actually we made money going there! I am hoping to go again, it was so fun! and then today going to Chicago was great also! it was icky cold and rainy though but when you're off of work, no day is a bad day.
Sorry to those who had a bad day or are sick, I hope you all feel better and the day turned out good.
