So I am in door only Tortoiseshell cat with long hair and for a couple of years she has had some "scabs" appearing on my skin. They don't seem to go away or grow fast or much once they have appeared, but it is really hard to tell with my coat being so thick. My owners have taken me to see a couple vets(traditional and holistic) and no one seems to know what it is. At one time I would be consistently itching them but that has stop. If anyone can recognize one of the pictures that would be very helpful. I think all the pictures are of the same thing just in different "stages", but I can't be for sure.

Thanks in advance

Ashley

It looks like it may be ringworm to me. Has she ever been checked for that? Has she had any kind of testing done, like a skin scraping? Has she had any hairloss?

It could also be allergy related. Have you tried to change her diet?

Well, it doesn't look like ringworm in my opinion, because first of all, it's not bald there.

Ringworm causes the hair to fall off where the spores are present, which is how it spreads, the spores attach to the fur, dry it out to the point of it falling out, and lives in the house randomly, waiting for an unsuspecting subject :)

It appears to me to be some other type of mild dermatitis, and a vet should be able to take a bit of a scraping and look under a microscope to identify what it is.

I haven't had much luck with diagnosis either but if you find out, let me know :)
Mikki gets scabs then she keeps after them until they become hot spots. Does yours seem to itch?

It almost looks like what my dog used to have. They were little cysts that would constantly leak and build up little crust spots then when the crust was cleaned up or scratched off it would look like your cats second photo. Then the cycle would start over again. The only way I would be able to stop the cysts from doing this was to have them surgically removed. The vet does not think there is a small cyst in that spot? I have been told cats can get these also. Does it ever heal completely or does it seem like it is leaking fluid all the time?

Looks like an allergy to something. My kitty is allergic to fleas and she gets those when the fleas are out of control which is often in Florida. It feels like a hard scab.

I do thing she has been check for that, we do know what things she is allergic to and have removed it(we changed the diet at the same time) with out them going away, when we go to the vet we will ask for a skin scraping.  There has never been any hair loss.

We have not noticed any fluid leaking. We will ask the vet about the cysts idea.
