We moved to this area a year ago and brought our cats with us. All healthy, and all but 2 spayed/neutered. We ended up with a litter of kittens and it seems that soon after that, my house became a kitten rescue. I rescued one from a drainpipe and another from a car motor. But people started bringing me kittens despite my objections. One kitten was very ill and for 2 months, I nursed cats and kittens back to health, and some died. I even lost 3 of my own. At first, I contacted our local shelter. They weren't taking cats. I contacted SPCA and the Humane Society for help with all these kitties. They didn't even bother answering me. I got some obscure email about Feral cats eventually from them. I have 19 cats in a 2 bedroom house. All but 2 are fully recovered and the et bills have been enormous. I love them but am overwhelmed. No one wants them for pets and I dint know what to do. I live in a rural town in south central oklahoma. Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.
