Smoky - 17.5 year old grey-and-white tabby queen of the household. I'm hoping she might make it to 19. :) She's a little skinny around her hips but she's still got some fat and floof on her. :) She was born in our house when I was seven years old! In summer time we let her out onto the porch so that she can get some sunshine but she strays no further than the step, so she's basically an indoor cat now. Her senses aren't the best anymore and I keep her on probiotics to help her with digestion. I've also been giving her cranberry (Cranimals!)

Copernicus - 4.5 year old red-and-white bicolour medium haired fluff ball. He reminds me a lot of a Turkish Angora with some of his confirmation, his fur (it is very soft, very odd fur) and his colouring, which I have never seen on another cat - except for purebred Turkish Angoras in photos. His coat is literally red - no tabby markings to speak of except for a bit of faint banding on his tail. It has a faint coppery lustre. Someday if I ever have the money and inclination I'd like to get a DNA test on him to see exactly what's in him.  No matter what he is, I adore him and I believe he is much better looking than his ugly if very intelligent namesake, the great astronomer Nicolas Copernicus.

Casper - 3.5 year old orange-and-white fluffy medium haired tabby who came out of my backyard as a feral kitten in North Vancouver. When I first caught him (largely with Copernicus' help - he adores Copernicus,) he was so afraid of humans that he would not let me even look at him let alone touch him. Now, years later and after having moved back in with my parents in my home range he's a lot better and even on rare occasions sits on my lap! He loves being petted, playing with his big brother (who I used to lure him into my house way back on that day in North Vancouver) and watching the world go by from our front window. He's still very skittish, many times seeming illogically so, fleeing from my parents and only letting them touch him in his 'safe points' of the house but he's a wonderful little cat. He's also a very expensive cat as he just recovered from having had part of his urethra removed because he had a urinary tract blockage. (Ouch!) $1,700 later haha he's doing great and the fur on his butt is finally starting to look fluffy again. Copernicus and Casper are both completely indoor cats.

And this is me, the one I believe that my cats think of as a giant cat. I'm a skinny, ash blonde female thing/it that is a multimedia artist, hiker, backpacker, science nerd, history nut and aspiring fiction author - but to my cats I am just another cat. The important human-cat. They don't follow my parents around like they do me but I'm their primary caregiver, so I guess that makes sense. I love them to pieces and they will be very annoyed when I inflict a dog upon them in a few years. (Although I shall do so in the most educated fashion possible. My cats will experience a windfall of new cat trees first, unaware that these valued roosts will be intended as escape points from the new heathen beast which I will introduce. I am doing my best to only choose dog breeds which have a proven track record of being good with cats. I will then either rescue a dog with this proven lineage or get a puppy of one of the breeds from a reputable breeder. I'm putting my cats first, except for the fact that I am getting a dog which I believe that they are pretty much guaranteed to hate at first but hopefully they will grow to be friends. I intend to inform the dog immediately upon acquiring it, before even bringing it home that its job is to guard the kitties.)

Copernicus and Casper could be brothers, they look so alike. You have some gorgeous kitties.
