Is there any kind of recording devices that run on battery and don't require internet? I am caring for a colony deep in woods on private property. There has been several incidences of destroyed shelters and over turned feeding station. One neighbor has called cops on tnr project. So I suspect it is him. The land we are on is legal through permission of owner but six other houses own part of woods too.

You can get a relatively inexpensive trail camera that runs on batteries for around $60 or so. Here is one that is a best seller on Amazon.

I bought this one last year.  It ran on 2 or 4 D batteries.  They require and SD card (not included) that you pop in and out and put in your computer or other device to view the pictures.
